Out of the top 9 teams in the West last season, the Suns had the most losses to sub .500 teams.

Sure every team does it, but Suns do it way more often than others their competing with.

There were lots of years in the past where the Suns murdered the sub 500 teams and it never foreshadowed rousing success in the playoffs. Not a big deal in the scheme of things...

Yea but we're not talking about being successful in the playoffs, we're talking about getting into playoffs. Then we can worry about whether we'll be successful in it or not.

I think our losses to sub .500 teams will bite us in the ass just like last year. We aren't even 2 full months into the season and we already have 7 losses to sub .500 teams; Utah, Denver, Pistons, Bucks, Nuggets, Kings & Magic.

I think you're padding your list. Denver and the Nuggets? I only remember one loss to the team from Colorado. Also, I think the Bucks and the Kings were both over .500 when we lost to them. I'd still probably put the Bucks on this list because we really shouldn't lose to them at home but the Kings were a very good team until Cousins went down. And, now that I think about it, the Heat should probably be on your list too.

I'm using TapaTalk for the first time. Does it not support polls?

Sure, the Suns could give in to the idea that the Thunder are playoff-bound and shift focus to catching the team ahead of them in the standings. That would mean outplaying San Antonio, the defending champion with Tony Parker now back in action and Kawhi Leonard close to a return.

At 23-18, the Suns are just one win off of last season's midpoint record that came as Eric Bledsoe was out following knee surgery. They could feel good about the record and injury-free roster, considering they are 20-13 when point guards Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic and Isaiah Thomas all play and have played four more road games than at this stage last season.

They also have the NBA's fourth most difficult remaining schedule.

Ultimately if we don't make it, this will be what it falls on:
The Suns seemed to have solved their early-season home problems that gave away expected wins against Sacramento, Charlotte, Orlando, Miami, Detroit (the bad version) and Milwaukee.
And that's without including the losses against teams like Denver and Utah.

It must have seemed to Eric that I was picking on him... other people have had those in their posts for years and the first time he does it, I pounce on him. Happily, there sees to be fewer of them of late.
