Prices are reasonable considering what Vikings, Packers and Seahawks were going for. I'd buy now because there will be a rush on them when the team we play is determined.

Those are all from season ticket holders - which includes brokers. They've been up for sale for about 2 weeks now (when we received ours).

The Cards ticket office has not released any for sale yet.

Playoff tickets when Warner was here went for just over face on the black market. I always thought they'd go much higher in price. I don't get why they don't. O well

at $200 plus per seat, I will happily watch from home. I will say though, the playoff games our super bowl year were some of the best live experiences I have ever been a part of.

Ouch. Our section (lower bowl) are selling for more than double the price $350 each. I'm guessing most people are waiting for the Cards ticket office to make theirs available.

That's fine, but IMO you can't complain about other team fan presence in that case. Not to say you have, I really don't pay attention to who has complained about it, but I am positive there are a lot of people who share your thought who also have complained about "takeover."

My 5th row endzone seats are face $95 per ticket for this game; that's roughly the same price as the GB tickets were in the regular season. GB fans paid upward of 3x-4x face value for a regular season game. Cards fans should be SNAPPING up 2x face value tickets for NFC DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF HOME GAMES. That is a no-brainer. IMO, they should be paying whatever the opposition is willing to pay too, but 2x shouldn't be a blink.

The mentality of local fans that they'd rather stay home and watch on TV rather than pay a small premium to go to the game, while opposing fans will pay many times face value, is the crux of the issue about "stadium takeover" and "opposition crowd noise." People selling their tickets, and even ticket brokers selling tickets isn't the issue. Local fan apathy being completely dominated by visiting fan excitement is the problem. There will ALWAYS be tickets available - who buys them is the problem, no who sells them.

I have never complained about opposing team presence as it is a broker issue that only the team can fix. The only time I was pissy about it was a vikings game years and years ago where they really did take the place over and it was a miserable game to boot.

I had season tickets for 5 or 6 years, these days its just a hassle for me and I miss a lot being in the stadium

I came across and article from the 2008 Atlanta playoff game where Leslie's Pool Supply bought up the remaining tickets to ensure a sellout - for a playoff game! But then again, most people thought the Cards would be one-and-done.

I wonder if they'll have the Kevin Rudolph Let it Rock song back for pregame video highlights.

Before the Philly game the place was rockin during the video highlights with that song. I'll never forget that moment.

I remember the towels all going at once and just loud as hell, it was electric in that place.

I know you and I generally view the "takeover" issue the same... My view is that it's an issue that has been blown WAY out of proportion. The worst this year was the Vikes game and I still contend that the ratio was roughly 80-20 Cards fans to Vikes fans... And, since there isn't any other stadium in the entire league that has more False Start calls on the opposition since 2006 (the year UoP opened up), I firmly believe those that continue to push this meme are 100%, ENTIRELY out of touch with reality...
Nonetheless, in any market, there will always be fans who prefer to watch the games at home on TV versus actually being there... Personally, and especially for the post season, I really have an issue with that... BUT, I also never try to get into somebody else's world. Be it finances, or scheduling logistics, or, they just like to be in their own home on their own couch taking in the game - so be it. In the ideal world, there would be more than enough other fans who want to be at the game to compensate for the fans who prefer to watch at home.
I actually have NO doubt that, just as we did in '08 and '09, Cards fans will rule the day and we will own UoP the way it should be owned! ;)

I didn't think so. Was not trying to imply it. Was just taking the tangent. ;)

Freaking VikesFans...they come out of the woodwork. Just sayin.

BRR is looking for some extra $200 right now, I guarantee!

:D

It really WAS something else, that playoff run. Amazing.

there was never a louder moment in that stadium then that one. Loved that song, the towels waving and people going absolutely bananas. Was always curious why they didn't make that song a thing moving forward.
