alright good first half would like to be up by more then 10 but not bad at all, I just love the way nash is playing along with amare. I also like how were being real physical today by pushing the spurs around also. Keep it up suns... 2 more qtrs.

Some bad decisions on offense, missed freethrows, not stopping the ball on defense keep us from being up by 20 as we should.

True but DA was oblivious to in-game matchups.

I'll agree with that. It's nice to see us actually PUNISH whoever's guarding Richardson by actually putting him in the post. But still, so far, this game is no different than any other Spurs-Suns game in recent memory... especially playoffs. We come out hot, get out to a big lead, almost to a point of blowing it up, SA closes at the half to a managable difference and it ends up being a fourth quarter game... which we inevitably lose. HAVE to come out STRONG in the third.

Suns up 57-47 after the 2nd quarter. Suns have been up by as many as 14 points. Suns shooting 56% with 2/7 3 pointers. :) Spurs shooting 42% with 1/5 3 pointers. :)

Suns have committed 8 turnovers (Nash with 2), Spurs 6. :( Suns with 12 points off Spurs turnovers, Spurs with 10 points off Suns turnovers.

Suns have 5 offensive rebounds, Spurs 3. :)

Suns have hit 7/11 free throws, Spurs have hit 16/22 free throws. :(

We really should be up by at least 15 points. :( We gotta stop putting the Spurs on the foul line. :(

The Suns are shooting much better than the Spurs (56% to 42%) and out-rebounding the Spurs (24-17) but the big free throw discrepancy (22 attempts for the Spurs to 11 for Phoenix) is keeping the Spurs in the game.

A 10 point half-time lead is nice and all, but we've been there, done that against the Spurs before. We repeatedly took leads into the 4th quarter in the past only to lose the game. So, can't really judge our performance until this game is over.

Not a bad start.

As others have mentioned it is all about finishing the game.

Deny dribble penetration, control the defensive glass, and limit turnovers.
If they can do that it should be a walk to the finish.

Outside of a few Parker glides to the hole, overall this team is playing much better team D. Collapsing well on Duncan. Being more aggressive. It's a good sign of things to come.

It would be interesting to see Lopez with the starters.

Amar'e is challenging Duncan smartly.

Would love to see a nice run to start the third quarter.

One thing, since the Suns are going to get less trips to the line, the Suns cannot afford to miss free throws, Jrich's 2 hurt.

Nash is hesitating too much on the Pick and Roll. Gotta get Amare the ball.

Oh definately Cheese, i'm not conceding anything here. Its just nice to see Gentry coaching rather than just banging our guys into a stone wall because he's in love with his own philosophy.

SPURS & Pops will make adjustments.
