Bruce here is a real no brainer. "PLEASE BRING BACK ADRIAN WILSON...!!!"
He could be a real stop gap answer for DW Hell he played like a linebacker as a safety. Just think that on certain plays he could drop back as the 3rd Safety, and could rush the QB ON OTHER PLAYS. He someday may even be a Hall of Famer.

Bruce I do have some credibility when it comes to Judging athletic ability. Come from a stock of entertainers and Pro athletes in my Family. So I am not that fare off when saying bring back AW. He is smart, quick and can really hit. BOBCAT :):mulli::bang:

I'm sure BA and the team will give your proposal the consideration it deserves.

Lol.

We all love Adrian but his ship has sailed. His tank ran out, whatever phrase you want to use, he's finished. Time catches all.

Bring him back on a one day contract and let him retire a Cardinal. His playing days are behind him.

Well, sure, he was done a couple of years ago but maybe he's gotten younger since then.

That's what I thought about Yeremiah Bell and Bell started 16 games for Arizona ,is a year and a half older than Wilson and didn't play too poorly.

But then Bell is currently out of the league as well so....

I'd love him back. He doesn't have the skill set to play SS in today's league, but I think he could find a nice niche in our defense playing DWash role.

Doesn't he have the same skill set as our #1 draft pick? Doesn't have the skill set anymore because of age, probably.

did he get his arm fixed? He didn't wrap on hits the past couple years, maybe that was the reason, but since he missed a year, did he fix that too? I do think he could play LB for a year or 2 though. Either way, I do sincerely hope... and believe... he will retire a Cardinal. And his # should be retired

IIRC, the surgical fix had to occur shortly after the injury. He chose to rehab rather than operate so he just has to live with the loss of strength in that one arm (30% or something like that). I don't really think he has anything left to give us but I agree he needs to retire a Cardinal.

bummer. I thought he could play forever. Damn was he tough. But it appears that time has finally come. The time when you have to accept reality. That age has gotten to you. It's time to walk away

Why not bring back Johnny Rutledge and Raynoch Tompson while you are at it.

At least ADub could actually play football. Unlike those two. Small play Ray and Wrong gap Ron McKinnon. What a LB pair those two were. :D

Adrian Wilson can play better with one arm than many players with two arms. ;)

Anyway, it would make me feel better to see him back in a Cardinals uniform if only to retire.

I had the same injury a year before he did. I was pretty much useless for several weeks. I was stunned at his ability to get back on the field right away and I didn't really notice any loss of effectiveness from him due to the arm. Age yes, arm no.

It was money and to determine who was in control of the defense in the locker room. Nothing at all about skill or age. Proof is in the Cards signing Yeremiah Bell who was never as good as Adub and was older.

I thought the decline was evident the year before his injury. But I agree that money and his role with the team had a lot to do with his exit.
