Three crap QBs. Two RBs with bum knees. An offensive line that can't block.

Looking good for next season.

Well maybe the Defense can do a Ravens and hold all the other teams to 12 points a game so the Cards can win 6 or 7 games.
You have inspired a hippie, it's your fault! :p (don't feed the hippies)

In comparison, our running backs with 'bum' knees are still better than our crap OT, you have to agree with that? What should we address with all we know, our OL.

What good will it do to fix the Oline if we have a Chester Taylor or an Antonio Smith as our RBs?

The knee issues with both Wells and Williams are a legitimate concern.

Wells played with his. It is like damn if he does and damn he is a wuss if he does not. It is called being a NFL back to me and why most don't play into their thirties. I'm thinking about our first two picks, and the holes on the OL to me command more attention

I think we will be fine with RB's next year. More concerned with OL and OL blocking schemes (coaching).

RBs are a dime a dozen unless you're talking about 2-3 guys in the league with exceptional skills (Peterson, McCoy, Chris Johnson)..

For 90% of the rushing attacks in the league, it's all about the Oline play

Everything is about the offensive line play but if you think the Cards rushing attack would be just as good with Chester Taylor and Antonio Smith as with healthy Wells and RWilliams you don't remember 2005 when Marcel Shipp and JJ Arrington tore up the league.

Antonio a little slow to be a RB. :)

How does anybody say the playcalling is bad if they concede the QB play is bad too? how do you playcall your way out of a bad QB?

We lost this game because Skelton buried us the first 3 quarter. You can say we should have ran more but they were stuffing Beanie, williams is out for the year and Hyphen was hurting so who was going to run the ball?

It was obvious that there were plays to be made, Skelton missed them, which is why the sideline reporters told us more than once that Whiz was mad that we had guys open and Skelton wasn't seeing it.

Everyone looks great playcalling with Rodgers or Brees at QB, with Skelton(or Kolb when he's played) it's tougher to playcall. Add in an OL that can't pass protect for very long and it continues to mystify me how anybody knows the playcalling is bad.

It's like blaming the driver for getting lost because the GPS gave him directions to the wrong address.

This.

There are a lot of posters who get their football knowledge from Madden.

Offensive line- Seems to be the bane of this franchise since I can remember. This year it's the same crap as it's always been, poor protection. The Bungles absolutely destroyed our o-line today and more than half of the league will always rack up sack records on us.

It all starts with fixing the OL...

Fixing the QB & the OL will improve everything else.

I don't love the QBs.. but we can win 10 games next year with Kolb or Skelton if we fix the Oline and pick up a legit #2 WR.

This. Our Oline gave up 5 sacks today and now lead the league in sacks given up (and please don't give me the crap that their all or even the majority of them are because of the QB). This team is the only one that I know of that can flat out whiff on a double team. Its just pathetic

I have a hard time evaluating QB play when they are under constant pressure especially young QBs as they tend to make mistakes (ie Dalton under pressure should have thrown 2 INTs but our Dbs dropped them)

RB is fine. It's all about the Oline. Better Oline play would allow for a more consistent run game. On our negative or short yardage run plays, it's not a RB issue, it's the fact defenders are totally blowing these plays up due to poor blocking/scheme.

running back is not even remotely a concern...Our Offensive tackles are a big concern, it is the OL that needs attention most

Everything is about the offensive line play...
I've been saying these things for years. It's nice to see some of you guys seeing it too. Maybe that means the front office will finally notice too and do something about it.

I know the Cards have done some things to try and improve the line over the years but it obviously has not been enough. The Cards have not had an above average O-line since the 80's and have not had a great O-line since the 70's. Isn't it about time to get it fixed?

I especially agree with Brewster. I too believe Kolb or even Skelton could win consistently with the O-line fixed and a legit number two receiver.

Everyone has been saying it for years. Offensive line problems are a constant theme throughout many threads on ASFN going back to the beginning and before that on the old Cards Corner board. Why the Cards haven't been able to get it right since the Coryell years is one of the great mysteries of the NFL.

I'm not on board though with the offensive line being the only thing wrong with the offense going forward. Last year at this time it was the only thing wrong with the team was the QB position.

I have doubts about both Kolb and Skelton as starting NFL QBs, both our RBs have knee issues, and our WR group after Fitz is very mediocre. At TE both Housler and Heap have had injury problems.

Every one of those things could work out but here we are again going into a season with a lot of if and hope. But at least this time it will only involve the Offense. And that is a huge change for the Arizona Cardinals. A very promising Defense without a goofball as HC. Never thought I'd live to see that.

1. Stability at QB- Skelton is not the answer and Kolb hasn't shown me anything either. With a competent QB, I believe this team could of been a 10 win plus caliber club. The QB play has been up and down, and incredibly inconsistent. Cardinals probably won't do anything in the off season other than picking up a QB in the 3rd of 4th round of the draft, but at this point I don't know what they can do next year other than start Kolb, but in actuality we aren't ever going anywhere deep in the playoffs again without a good QB.

2. Offensive line- Seems to be the bane of this franchise since I can remember. This year it's the same crap as it's always been, poor protection. The Bungles absolutely destroyed our o-line today and more than half of the league will always rack up sack records on us.

3. Running game- Flashes of brilliance from Beanie doesn't constitute a good running game. We cannot run the ball against good teams, and our running game doesn't scare anyone. We can occasionally run the ball against poorer teams such as the Rams, but other than that our running game is pretty pedestrian.

4. Play calling- It's been pretty bad this year, as it has been for the last couple. Get a competent offensive coordinator because we have had trouble moving the ball all year with the exception of the big play. We cannot consistently move the ball, and are constantly putting our defense back out on the field. Needless to say, it has been absolutely frustrating to watch this unit in 2011.

If there is anything that I have left out, that you would like to see addressed by next year, please add it.

A fix on the offensive line would go far to letting our QB's get a chance to read their progressions. It is hard to do that when you are constantly having to dodge blitzers in your face as you try to set up to read the routes. That fix has been needed ever since Whiz and company have been here. I still think it was one of the biggest reasons that Warner elected to forego his final contract year. He was getting slaughtered on 7, and even 5 step drops. There is much that Whiz could have been doing to take pressure off the QB too, by utilizing the running game and play action more through the years that he has been here. Committing to a pass first scheme is one thing, but committing to a nearly pass only scheme is devastating to all young QB's and is even tough for the Warners of the world.

So far as the running game goes, no running back can make holes for himself in this league. Yet Whiz chose to sit our best offensive lineman, proven by his play overweight or not, nearly all of last year, and all of this year save for the 4th quarter of our 15th game. Beanie did not have over a 5 yard gain in the Bengal's game until Lutui was sent in for the 4th quarter. Beanie immediately cracked open back to back runs of 8 and 9 yards each. The telling part of this is that both runs came through the hole that Deuce opened for him-----(and Beanie had not been able to run to the right side of the line all year until then). All his successful runs have been behind Levi Brown and Darren College until Deuce's return to the line. It is one thing to sit a man for a while for getting into your dog house. It is totally another to sit him for nearly two seasons, when he has shown over and over that he is the best O-lineman on your roster. When you punish someone (to the detrement of the team), then you are carrying things too far in my opinion.

Play calling has been a sore spot on this team since Whiz has been here, (save for the one season that he relenquished the total play calling to Todd Haley, the year we went to the Super Bowl. Play calling has not been up to that standard, before, or since that one year where Haley did the play calling. It is far too predictable under Whiz, and his personnel packages tip off waaaay to much about what he is going to do.

One more thing that needs to be given consideration. ADub is getting pretty long in the tooth. Probably only has till the end of this contract, which is coming soon. I would like to see them bring in his replacement so that he can get acclimated to the new system instead of waiting till nexp year and being put into a starting spot with no exposure to a supposedly difficult system to learn.
