One other thing here that would concern me is we'd have to be sure Jake wanted the job for the right reasons, to help the team. By that I mean if Jake just figures hey I want to earn a paycheck for a couple more years in a situation where I won't be expected to watch film or workout, I wouldn't want him. But I know in Denver he's been a model player in terms of work ethic so hopefully if he were brought back, he'd show that here off the field.

This is one of the most absurd rumors I've EVER heard. The guy who wrote this dug so deep for it, he must have poop stains up to his elbow.

This board would really suck if Jake was here as a backup. I wouldn't mind him as a backup but the last thing I want is to see thread after thread of "Leinart vs Plummer.

I'd be all for it, I like Jake, never want him as our starting QB but if we had to endure a 6 or 7 game stretch with him I think we could win.

Jakes no starter but as a backup he'd be awesome.

you bet

Plummer would be a great back up to Leinart and I will always have a special place in my heart for him leading us to the playoffs in '98 and beating those infernal Cowboys.

Vinnie Testaverde got a job this year. Somebody will pay for Jake with a chance to compete for the starting job. If he was content to be a backup then why wouldn't he stay in Denver? I can see him going to Cleveland or KC.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jake Plummer is the best backup QB in the league.

i agree with you 100 percent. after his 4th year i always thought plummer was qb that could come in to wins games for you until the starter got healthy enough to play. if plummer wants to come back to arizona, then he should be welcome with open arms. at least he will by me.
