Wait ... you mean this isn't a new thread about Entourage? They're really making a sequel?

My ex & I used to have a long-running joke whenever we'd be at blockbuster & we would see a straight to video sequel for a really crappy movie--like, "Teenage Monsters From Mars 2" or something. We'd always say, "Because the FIRST one was soooo good!"

This pretty much falls into that category...

no it doesn't Linderbee because the first Point Break is too awesome to even describe in one post.

And I am not being facetious!

Sorry, I know you're being serious, but that's the funniest thing I've read all day.

Come on without Johnny Utah there is no Point Break franchise.

For me that was the movie that proved beyond a doubt Keanu was not acting in Bill and Ted, he was just being himself.

The last thing I want to see, other than Patrick Swayze on the big screen again, is Patrick Swayze with long blonde hair on the big screen again.

That movie was always a guilty pleasure. Keanu couldn't act a lick in it but somehow it was a pretty good flick entertainment wise.

That movie kicked major ass. Anyone who says it sucks is just kidding themselves. Surfing, bank theft, cheesy lines, what else can you ask for?

Is there a special feature DVD of Point Break? I have the regular version and would pay good money to hear commentary by Keanu and Busey. Maybe they could liquor them up butt good

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Jan de Bont (Twister, Speed) is set to direct Point Break: Indo.

RGM Entertainment and Essential Entertainment will executive produce this Asia-based follow-up to director Kathryn Bigelow's 1991 original, which starred de Bont's Speed lead Keanu Reeves as an FBI agent casing a gang of surfer bank robbers. The new film will take place 20 years after the disappearance of one of the criminal surfers (Patrick Swayze).

Both the original and sequel are written by W. Peter Iliff. The trade says plot details and possible character reprises have not been disclosed, but the film will shoot in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Taylor Morgan Pictures' Chris Taylor and John Morgan will produce. RGM's Devesh Chetty, Essential's Jere Hausfater and Neil Kaplan, and de Bont will executive produce.
