And the Cards follow through and add a starting LT in FA.

Like I qualified in post question, if these prospects are all very close in talent, what position would you prefer be address in 1st Rd. if you're GM?

No BPA allowed for this poll. ;)

At 20? Prolly TE. With the frequency that 12 personnel are run in this offense gotta get better at that position.

Comes down to TE or SS for me, Ebron or Clinton-Dix. Need to improve more on offense then defense next year.

I think you guys are selling the importance of an edge rusher & the need to contain the edge short in the 3-4, like many fans & coaches in AZ have done far too long!!! Any Coencidence how awesome this defense became when Abraham was made the starter? I think not! Acho & Okafor are strictly role players IMO & that's coming from a Horns fan.

I do like Amaro & would be thrilled to see him in red, Ebron aint getting to #20, but really not sold on Dix. Guys like Van Noy, Ealy & Sam IMO will be highly viewed by teams & scouts because they can change games & outcomes with one play.

IMO time for a differance maker at OLB, but that could change with who's on the board.

I think we go with an outside pass rusher. If we can squeeze one more year out of Abraham it would be nice to have his replacement ready to go.

Abraham was recognized a lot but I don't think as much as he deserved. Finding his replacement would be invaluable especially with him being yet another year older.

Khalil Mack would be a godsend.

I voted OT.. But our secondary scares me as well.. could go either way on that one.

For sure. What thinks you about the Clemson kid Beasley? Is he that far off from Mingo last yr??

What about Kony Ealy and Trent Murphey? Do they translate to 3/4 outside?? I would speculate yes.

All three could be there. Mtl, two anyway.

From what I read Ealy and Murphy are more DE type. Murphy is no whare as quick as the others.
Beasley is a bit lighter than Mack but appears he would fit that role.

I do believe that we need pass rushers as well however our starting safety is now a free agent who will be 36 years old and was a liability in pass coverage. Our other safety was benched for a rookie. We need an upgrade.

That is why I voted OSLB kiils two birds with one stone. Any seconary is much better when there is a pgood pass rush.

Yep

Coencidence that our secondary appeared to play better once Abraham was the starter over Acho & #97? I think not :D

Plus IMO the talent of WRs & QBs along with the rules are just so great today that it negates a secondaries ability to be great for the most part. IMO the days of shutdown CBs are over!!!

I'm fine with this, but Johnson was not benched and we beat Seattle without Johnson and Mathieu.

We're in nickel or dime 70% of snaps.

He wasn't benched.

Ok. You say he want benched then why was Mathieu starting over him down the stretch? I know he was hurt but, even when he came back HB was in the lineup ahead of him.

Evidently we have a different understanding of the term.

Benched, for me, means that he didn't get on the field on 'd'. Johnson was there in every scheme beyond base. Mathieu was the starter following Johnson's injury, etc.

With no free agency, have to go line. OT.

In the west, games are going to won and lost up front.

If we get our LT in free agency, I would go TE. I have heard just a few say cornerback but our 2nd cornerback is just as good or better than most teams 2nd CB (that is why the guy is the number 2 corner and affordable so you can pay your top corner). Safety, maybe from the spot we are drafting but Johnson and Jefferson did not play that bad when Honey Badger went down, they played pretty damn well. We saw flashes of what a good TE could do in Bruce Arian's offense when the Dude had vague moments of being legit. I would like a pass rusher but I think at least from the LB position, it is time for the Texas boys to earn their keep because we drafted them for a reason... now a receiving threat at TE would be huge :)

I went with DE. Hageman is my guy. We need more DL and Hageman will be able to spell both CC and DD until he takes over for DD in 2015.

Im not sure I understand the Q.

All things equal, then the hierarchy of picks will always go QB, LT, pass rusher, CB for all teams.

But I suppose we are suppose to factor in we are picking 20 and thus we need to consider #20 overall type talent.

If so, I think OLB would be the best available. Lots of QB needy teams early, so theres no point in taking the 6th best QB in the 1st round. Same goes for LTs.

CB is also a good option considering BPA. The 2nd best CB might be available if all those other positions are snapped up. Whether thats Gilbert or Dennard.
