He took over this complete mess. No PG, no PF, no defense, nothing.
In his 1st games things were getting even worse.
Then he started to work (together with the GM) and shortened the rotations, then kicked Chandler, Daniels, Anderson, Canaan and Ariza out of it.

or, perhaps
1. he worked together with the GM to help create a "mess. No PG, no PF, no defense, nothing"
2. watched it get worse for a full 3rd of the season (not "1st games")
3. finally made some adjustments that any good coach would have made much sooner
4. several key players defensive abilities already existed rather than "became existant", but they were un-inspired and un-motivated (due to a lack of leadership and a few lazy vets?). they are now feeding off of each other's energy

"i'm seeing signs of chemistry developing between players
but i'm not seeing any signs of chemistry between the players and coach"

What are these signs of chemistry that you are looking for and not seeing, 1tinsoldier?

chemistry is not the best word for what i'm looking for between the coach and players
more respect, loyalty, trust
certainly, the Bridges exchange didn't look good but that's not unusual
i'd like to see Igor occasionally animated on the sidelines
or in a post interview
it would do wonders if he was ejected once for defending one of his players
has he received 1 technical?

the lack of team effort
Ayton and JJ taking so long to start addressing obvious flaws in their execution, even regressing until recently,
speaks to either the coach not being a strong leader or teacher or being respected enough

Too bad this poll isn't public.

yes. if i was the Suns organization i would regularly check into this resource of free and abundant feedback from very observant consumers of their product

just yesterday i received a gift card for participating in a 30 minute phone survey about my opinions of an online site.

i'm not impressed with Luke. but if he's a cheap enough option for Sarver to move Igor,
may the force be with him

This team sucks and its players hate each other. Sick of this garbage. Igor needs to go.

I hope the Suns have team options on Igor's contract.

The Suns are 52 games into the season. They've already had a 6-game losing streak, a separate 7-game losing streak, AND a 10-game losing streak.

They're currently on an 8-game losing streak. That's absolutely ridiculous.

I’m incredibly pissed right now and my patience is wearing thin. We’re supposed to be on the upward swing of this tank and we’re somehow worse than last year. Plays like this make me want to hit the ejector button on coaches quickly:

I just want a MFing winner. Sick of this scraping from the bottom nonsense.

He needs to go. Terrible first quarters in just about every game. That says they are ill- prepared.

In fairness to Emmanuel Terry in the video, I think this was his first regular season NBA game ever and I doubt he even had a chance to practice.

Devin Booker continued playing the Point, even when a Point Guard was on the court with him.

The Lakers double-teamed Book outside on every possession and Igor did nothing to offset it. I think it was EJ who said that other teams will now pick up on it.

Our best player has been rendered useless by his Coach. Caught in the middle between Point Guard and Shooting Guard, but not affecting the game positively at either.

Evidently, everyone above Igor on the organization chart knows even less about leading a team than he.

Are they that ignorant or is the tank on again? Hoping for another miracle in the draft. Lazy management!

The "long shower" meeting didn't change a thing. Just meaningless fluff.

Many of us questioned his coaching a long time ago. I actually think people were being reasonable after the roster changes to see what he could do. We have seen enough.

Can you show me people who were crazy about him as a coach? I don't recall that at all.

actually it's been 31 votes to 19 that he'd be gone by next season when this poll closed last month
so i'm sure there's even more Igor mutineers now
yet SirStef claimed 2 days ago that there are "literally only three of us" Igor critics

in actuality, there are only 3 or 4 merry-men who defend Igor using the "young team, new coach" line
but most of the time they just attack the critics rather than say anything good about Igor
because there is nothing good to say
oh, except that he's a nice guy and remains composed

Disagree, I think we just want to see some stability and are waiting to give it time before we hit the ejection button on our new coach.

Would have loved to have seen how Budenholzer would've impacted this roster. It's all conjecture but I'm sure Sarver was responsible for some of that.

despite the pressing need for a new coach and pg (in that order)
i believe this roster is talented and they will naturally get better with time
they should start winning a higher percentage of their games
perhaps almost as many as last year's last place team before this season is over
and the homers will tout it as an accomplishment

And a legit Power Forward to take pressure off the rookie Ayton. And the return of a scouting department.

And a legit General Manager, vs.the temporary (sharing the job) inexperienced one we have now.

It sounds overwhelming! Impossible! But one thing could change that in a heartbeat.

If the owners decide to let basketball people run basketball operations while they count the billion dollar value of their investment.

Just one decision from the top would make all the difference. Without it, our best hope would be to rise from the basement to mediocrity.

Less negativity. Less embarrassment. Less lack of respect for our franchise. We deserve more than just that.
