if you’re worried about CB2 that’s an issue when teams will run 4 and 5 wide

murphy was bad last year and has almost no chance of being an outside CB.

we made Goff and JimmyG look like Peyton and Brady
I'm not giving up on him it takes time to see what you really have after year 2 and no impact or improvement I get it, how many freshmen make plays at the college level it usually does take a couple of years for these guys to catch up no different at the pro level IMO

We've gone from 3 wins (should have been ZERO) to 5 wins (could have been 7-8). I would love to say 10 next year, but we need to be realistic. It's way too early to look at the schedule & guess how good everyone else will be. Then you have to factor in how the injury bug will hit us. Or how many guys get suspended for dumba$$ poo. Our goal needs to be continued improvement. I'd be happy with anywhere from 7-9 wins. Ecstatic if we got into double digit wins.

7 wins at the moment.

Defense is closer to being average. I think by year 2 Simmons will be a stud, but with no real off season he's probably going to be finding his way rookie year.

Deshaun Watson, a better QB, was just "good" with Hopkins when they didnt have Will Fuller.
[When the Texans have Fuller on the field, Deshaun Watson turns into a much better quarterback. According to ESPN Stats, Watson’s passer rating jumps from 89.8 to 104.3 while his QBR goes from 64.4 to 77.3 with Fuller on the field.]

Lack of speed/no major improvements on the Oline (unless Josh Jones truly is the steal of the draft and starts/plays well)

We would need Kyler to have a Mahomes/Lamar Jackson level of jump to win much more than that imo. And those two were able to reach that because their play callers had full faith in their OLines (playmakers for the Chiefs as well)

Should still set us up well for year 3 of the rebuild though.

They will push for 10 wins. This roster is so far ahead of what it was at the end of last season. Its hard to find many teams that improved more and certainly a good number of teams rosters look worse now.

I also think Kliff and Kyler will make a second year jump as head coach and QB respectively which will mean the offense should have a legitimate chance to be Top 10 at worst.

Lastly think the defense won't be elite but will take a huge step forward kind of like how the offense improved from 2018 (when it was the worst offense in the NFL) to 2019 is how I see the defense improving from 2019 to 2020.

The defense will be a lot better in 2021 and 2022; I’m not so sure it will be a lot better next year.

I said 8, but realistically it’s the 7-9 range.

while i think the talent is upgraded significantly and KK should grow as a coach, that’s a lot of new races to integrate and that usually means early struggles. Add that to the fact there’s no offseason practices and gelling will be all the more difficult.
