Wypler and...oh, sure, there are probably dozens of draft eligible centers on the board. Good centers, centers who can start right away? Not so much. And even Wypler is at the bottom of the "good enough to start" centers.

Wypler can't start right away which is why he hasn't gone yet. Some of these guys already gone probably won't start at C right away.

Then where are all these excellent available centers you're talking about? We definitely had a chance at plug-and-play centers earlier in this draft. Some of those guys won't start right away, but you and I both know that some of them will.

It's not like we couldn't have walked away with a starting center who projects to be a solid pro; we both know Monti chose not to do so. My opinion is that it will bite them in the ass.

It just seemed like it was day 3 with long waits between picks and myself saying who is that.

Basically, outside of the top ten picks the gap of opinions between what the board thinks and the experts is concerning.

Are we filling needs, boosting talent(best player available) or fixing the damn lines.

Doesn’t seem any different than prior years drafting. With a new GM and ALL new coaching I was hoping I’d be feeling a bit different this morning. Why does my team draft so poorly, well that’s what they do.

I know we might be positioning ourselves for the next year’s draft but it ain’t next year yet. Always seems I’m waiting on next year:(

Maybe they consider the guys we have to be better than the guys in the draft?

Which guys do we even have at center? Let alone, if they think--who, Lecitus Smith? I honestly don't know any other names we have at center--is better than all the others in this draft, I question their judgment.

Froholdt. Possibly Smith, we don't know what he's been doing being the scenes. He may has been working his ass off at C.

I do agree that C is a need. I just don't agree with reaching for one. We practically need everything, including WR, and I think it's the right move to take the guy on top of your board whenever we pick.

If we get to a point where a C is right there at the top of your board then grab him.

We came out of day 2 with 3 good players an extra 3rd in 2024 a 4th and two 5ths. That's a massive win for me.

Next years draft is going to be a hoot.

Ugh, Froholdt. I guess he is technically a center lol

I get your thoughts/approach. I don't agree at all with the bolded. I don't think the second bolded was a trade at all worth it.

This was an easy A.

Ojulari, Williams and Wilson are all really good football players and I think all are great value.

Wilson was many fans day 2 WR pick in mock drafts. Good size and speed, superb route running. Great run blocker too. The injury history was a concern for sure but my understanding is they weren't repeated and we're not ligament issues.

If you told me yesterday we would come out of day 2 with these 3 guys, an extra 2024 3rd and 3 extra day 3 picks I'd have called you a fantasist.

This was a AAA+++ day.

Still plenty of centers on the board including Wypler.

I have a gut feeling Wilson is going to be an impact WR in this league.

Hopefully, we have special team openings

Let me ask this question, how many starters do think are in those rounds?

Every player we took so far will play significant snaps I reckon.

Going forward even round 4 and 5 guys have a shot. It depends on the position. RBs and slot corners have a strong chance to play.

I like the players. I liked Williams and if you look at my mock drafts, I pretty often drafted him in round three.

I think he's the Cardinals nickelback. He is twitchy and has good instincts. He was a PBU machine at Syracuse. I put a premium on that stat, because it shows that a guy can play the ball

I'm much less bullish on Wilson. Too little time on the field, but I get that in a WR barren draft guys tend to go higher than they you like.

Totally worth it. Cardinals added three picks for moving down what, 20 slots? Still quite a few good players left. You'll love DeWayne McBride, who I'd pick with the Cardinals next pick. Violent, instinctive runner, and was I think second in CFB in rushing yards. Or take Chandler Zavala who is a mountain of a man at OG.

Yup. Those picks are probably going to the a running back and maybe depth QB.

Imagine coming out with McBride and DTR.

If you look at the total trade compensation, the Cardinals have  OWNED this draft. For years I'd watch the Patriots and Seahawks do this and wished the Cardinals would move around to sdd future picks.

Next year the Cardinals might have two top ten picks and enough second day picks to legitimately add two big time impact players and a slew of real quality depth.

I would have drafted a center. Two of players we landed have injury history, so not seeing the necessity of drafting them while not addressing an area of real need.
CB is an area of real need. As is a big bodied WR. Call me crazy.

Because of MO"s tampering and him making it back up with the late trade, I gave day 2 a B and overall an A- for the 2 days!

I really like the first 2 picks. I was surprised by the WR pick, and I think that pick is pretty boom or bust....but I expect Ojulari and Willaims to contribute right away. If Williams was 2 months further along in his knee rehab, he would have gone mid 2nd. He is a really good corner.

lol, you are definitely a glass half full guy, compared to my glass half empty guy in relation to this draft. We should be married.
