Facts so far.

1. SP interviewed other teams remotely and/or other teams came to see him in LA/NY.

2. He spend the whole day last thursday at our complex.

3. No other interviews are scheduled for SP.

4. Absolutely quiet since thursday

I wonder if Monti’s management style has resulted in the Cards’ exemplary leak- control.

To me it’s either he has the job and waiting to announce Sunday or Monday after the playoffs. Or two they are still working through staff etc…. I can’t imagine Payton would string the Cards out for days and then say never mind. The silence to me still favors him here. But it’s the cardinals so there’s always a chance for some kind of announcement next week about someone else and why.

Maybe the lawyers are ironing out the details of the contract/paperwork?

I think it bodes well for radio silence, unless they were abducted by aliens.

But your explanation seems a bit more probable.
