The only trouble with that theory is if the stadium does not sell out it will be blacked out on local TV. I didn't vote as I gave up my ST 2 years ago, we got tired of the 250 mile drive each way, especially the late Sunday night drive back home. Prior to that the distance was a blessing, as I could see all the games on NFL Sunday Ticket even if they were blacked out in Phoenix; hopefully, barring a new interpretation of the blackout rules by Direct TV or the NFL that will still be the case if the sellout streak ends.

I am selfishly hoping for a down year in @2019 so I can have my pick of seats after I retire. :D

Good point. Maybe the CBA can change this stupid ass rule??? At least add the games to NFL Sunday Ticket in cities where blackouts occur....

I'm renewing, even though the drive in from Vegas and back is hell. I might even be in San Diego by the time the season starts... So I'm going to have to figure it out.

Being without tickets the last 2 years has killed me... so yes I will be looking to get back in the game.

I'm in. Even if there is a lockout and they have replacement players I don't know if it would be any worse than some of the football I paid to watch at SDS. The one thing I really worry about is brokers taking advantage of the situation to pick up more of the prime seats. Almost the entire row behind me is broker owned. It gets old fast.

Not a season ticket holder so I didn't vote in the poll but I know I spend more than some season ticket holders in tickets and travel for games every year...and yes I will continue to do so.

The one benefit of not making the playoffs this year is I saved alot of cash :) Flying to AZ then driving to NO last year and AZ & The Super Bowl the year before cost a lot.

Those playoff games definatley were not in my budget but definately worth the trip.

NO was a blast (until everything after THT's TD run)

Same thing in my section. I am hoping to move down lower to be with some other Cards fans I know. Or, I may move to a different section. Sure does suck having all those opposing fans around.

I'm thinking there will be less broker tickets being bought. I saw plenty of empty broker owned seats at even the popular teams games this year.

No, and I have been a season ticket for about 5-6 years now.

A lot of it is 4 kids and hard to find babysitting for so long of a day including tailgating.

Another is I am tired of the disappointment in 90% of the seasons. I dont think they deserve my money.

If they show me they are doing their best to win rather than stick to the budget I might start going again.

i didn't vote in your poll but as a former season ticket holder when i lived there and they were at sun devil i payed for some pretty craptacular teams, so i imagine i would,
although the last year i was there i didn't buy tickets, but that was a financial decision that led to my leaving arizona and not anything to do with my fandom,

i know in that beautiful stadium i would have been the first one there and i don't doubt after many years of the miserable sweat devil experience i would have had any problem renewing,
although as i posted in my season summary that i had never experienced a kind of hatred for the cards that i experienced for the derrick anderson led team in early november.
to the point where i couldn't even watch the team anymore,
that never happened before,
after much thought i think my feelings stemmed from the great expectations that we had become accustomed to the last couple of years,
and for me the let down was so profound it caused the feelings i had,
hell the sun devil tom tupa teams were every bit as bad if not worse but we weren't expecting much back then, i never even booed the teams that were fielded in the nineties never wore a bag over my head either though i saw many people that did,
well heres to continuing our sellout streak and to the cba being straightened out and to whiz making the right calls and to some great football for us all to enjoy next year:cheers:

what town do you live in red dawn? i have often considered moving back out of california to the western edge of nevada or arizona, so i can be close to family and the california experience, but be away from the crazy politics here
there are some nice little areas especially around stateline nevada that are just beautiful, anyway sorry about the thread drift, you can pm me with an answer if you want to red dawn..thanks

wait a minute...are you telling me that if you are a paying customer for sunday ticket and the over the air broadcast is blacked out in phoenix because the game doesn't sell out then direct tv doesn't show the game either?!?

am i understanding that right? thats b.s. if thats true, you are paying your money to be able to watch that game, in reality a virtual ticket to the game, that they would black it out would be enough for me to cancel that crap,

i hope that rule does get reviewed during the lockout

Get a PO Box in another town outside of the blackout area and tell directv that you moved. Now you'd be "out of the market area" and thus able to get all of the games - locally blacked out or not.
