Poll: Stephen Drew at 3B?

Just curious if anyone thinks Drew should make a transition to 3rd. I'm just speculating. I think it'd be good for the team, but probably not good for Drew's career since he as average power and wouldn't be a traditional corner player. OTOH, this could very well be his last year here, anyway.

Thoughts?

Terrible idea. Drew is better defensively than Bloomquist, not McDonald, but McDonald's bat isn't even close to Drew.

Willie isn't a liability at SS... Drew at 3rd would be an upgrade over anything we put out there at present. Didn't we pick up a guy (Josh Bell?) who plays 3rd base??

I know it is too early to bring up Matt Davidson but it is worth keeping an eye on this kid as he develops.

No doubt, but Bloomquist can't play third, and I think in the right position he can really contribute in the back of the lineup. Drew to 3rd sort of fixes that side of the infield for now.

Willy can play 3B about as well as he can play SS. Drew can play SS better than Willy and has never played 3B. I'm with Jesus here.

I don't think it is a terrible idea but I think he brings more defensively and offensively to the table than Willie Bloomquist and I don't know what he would bring defensively to third but I believe the greater value would be him at SS, replacement level player at 3B over Willie at SS and Drew at 3B
