Jellied eel is a traditional British dish that originated in the poor neighborhoods of 18th century London. The eel is chopped and boiled in fish stock, which releases the eel's naturally gelatinous proteins like collagen and creates the jelly once cooled. Yum!

MESA! :thud:
Never seen/heard of a London Town. Also, I never said I'd pay money to eat something revolting. Someone else wants to buy it, I'll give it a go...but I'm putting it on a Ritz.

Wouldn't eat it. I tried Vegamite (insert really ugly face with wiping my tongue off here) and that was as far as I go in extending my hand in friendship to our British brethren.

Is it a coincidence that food items that activate the gag reflex, seem to have their roots in the peasant's pantry? If the rich people throw it away, I ain't eatin' it.

Good heavens, that's a gross pic! :barf:

Rich folk eat some weird stuff too, they just give their gross food more elegant names. Pate'.... Caviar....
