Sun Devils workout...DE Terrell Suggs, 6'3 ½", 257, worked out today before scouts. Suggs forty time was a disappointing 4.85 and a 4.47 in the short shuttle. Additionally Suggs lifted 225 pounds 19 times and had a vertical leap of 33".

I wonder if that is enough for the Texans/Bears/Cowboys to pass on Suggs?

Hey at least the kid listens...I told him to tank it and he somewhat did...Pretty good job! Is it enough to drop to us? Don't know.

I doubt it, but he probably drops out of the top 3.

He needed a great work-out for Cincy to consider him at #1 and his slow 40 time (slower than expected) probably means that Houston can't use him as a OLB in their 3-4. But he still have to slip past both the Bears and Cowboys.

I still think Suggs is too one dimensional to take at #6. With all the help the defense needs I would give up a couple of sacks for a complete DE.

No way. Thirty tackles for a loss, and he is one dimensional?

I really hope he "falls" to us at #6...I hope his "poor" performance yesterday was to scare off other teams so we can draft him...maybe he really wants to play here that much...

"Warner drops back..looking down field...here comes Suggs...BOOM, that's another sack for the talented rookie!"

I can dream, can't I?:)

"Kurt's down! He's holding his arm . . . uh oh! Here comes his wife out onto the field . . . she swings her purse at Suggs! HOLY COW! Suggs sacked her, too! The crowd in St. Louis is on their feet!"

If we want Suggs we need to move up to number 3! If you listen to most of the people out looking at this kid, most dismiss his slow time for action on the field of battle. I would love to see us get him but I fear it's more likely that we might move down to add bodies.

Suggs' workout hurt draft stock

Terrell Suggs didn't help his draft stock with his Wednesday workout at Arizona State. He ran a 4.8, 4.86 and 4.9 40 and weighed 257 pounds. He had a nine-foot broadjump and 32 1/2-inch vertical. Had Suggs, a defensive end, run in the 4.7 range, he might have been a top three pick. Now, he has teams wondering if he's quick enough off the corner in the NFL as a pass-rusher.

The Bears are considering him as the fourth pick in the draft. The team encouraged by Suggs' disappointing workout was the Cardinals, who have the sixth pick and are desperate for a pass-rusher.
