You’re right about moving on from people but “we made progress” is blatantly wrongGuys, they are not going to get rid of anyone. Nobody. It's going to be "We made progress, we are sticking with the plan, etc"

That is what we are going to hear. That will be the spin. You’re right about moving on from people but “we made progress” is blatantly wrong
One problem with your plan. If The same Qb this offense will still be a problem.
I just looked this up and can hardly believe it about the offense.
After today, our offense is #11 in total yards and our defense is number 20.
At the end of last season we were number 25 and 26 respectively. This is why we will hear the "stick with the plan". I almost guarantee it. No big changes coming.
I don't pay much attention to stats. But I was truly surprised we are one spot outside the top 10 in offensive yards. Stats are deceiving because we are not a top 10 offense. And really until the bye we were as good as anybody in the league at scoring TD's in the redzone.
Ha! I feel your pain brother. I was born in 1967 in St. Louis and have been following the Cardinals as far back as my memories go. Moved to Texas in 1976 and watched every game that was on tv (they were in the NFC East back then, so I saw quite a few of them with the Cowboys being in the same division). Once the NFL ticket came out in 1994, I've seen just about every game. It's an illness I just cant shake...Been going on forever. If my father wasn’t transferred from New Jersey to St Louis in 1967 I could have avoided all of this pain. Just never ends.
Heck 602, let me chime in a bit. YOU make the connection. I do get your point totally on the issue of supporting a team that left your city and how they support the community. Would I still follow the Sixers, Phillies, Flyers if any of them left Philly? I don't know. But having followed the Cards from St. Louis to Arizona, my loyalty is with the team. Maybe me being a fan from Philly lessens my connection but I don't think so, nor do I care what people think about me being a Cards fan out of state. I love the Cardinals more than any of my other sports teams so I'm in until they are no more. At the end of the day, most of these franchises are just an offer of a new stadium and tax breaks away from leaving for greener pastures so it is what it is.Why would I support a team I have zero connection with? I support the local teams because they support the community.
Citation needed on this.Monti and Gannon have a vision and are laying a solid foundation.
My point? Monti and Gannon have a vision and are laying a solid foundation.

A solid foundation that's resulted in a 7-8 record and +2 point differential. I'm not sure there aren't 25+ franchises around the NFL that expect to return 30 or more players the next season. Your bar is exceptionally low.Over 30 players that will be on the team next year that we hand picked by Monti or extended by Monti. This looks like a solid foundation to me.

Monti extended Keim's players? Congratulations! Our best three players on offense (Conner, Kyler, and McBride) are all Keim's players. Our best player on defense (Budda) is a Keim player.
Do you expect Monti and Gannon to fold on all their draft picks and free agents after one season? Meanwhile, guys this front office ushered out the door (Byron Murphy, Zach Allen, and DeAndre Hopkins) have shown to still be useful NFL players.
Tearing down the roster was a choice. The Chargers and Broncos are actually making the playoffs and having winning seasons without tearing anything down and still absorbing dead money.2023
Tore the roster down and started to build a foundation
4-13 -125 point differential
2024
Added more players to establish a solid foundation
7-8 +2 point differential
Removed pretty much all dead money
Forced to trade for Browning when Moti openly admitted they were ahead of schedule for the rebuild
And yes, he gets credit for bringing back key players from Kiem. They waited to see how they fit and then showed the team wanted them here. He didn't make impulsive decisions to keep players that don't fit what they are building.
Anf oh yeah, hearing the Murphy/Allen complaints again. Two players that we habe no idea if they even wanted to be here and part of a rebuild. Would I like them here now, of course!
Again, if we don't improve this offseason and win at least one playoff game, then they deserve to be on the hit seat, but I'm excited to see this team take the next step next year.
STOP. Just STOP using Detroit as the example.2023

Our rebuild feels very similar to this.
