This is the first game of the season I have been able to watch and am excited about our future. Barbosa's game is a lot different than I expected. Amare must have worked on his 16-17 ft. jumper. Zarko reminds me of Vinny Del Negro, don't ask me why though. Also, didn't know how big Jahidi White was. Wouldn't want to run into his pick.

Too bad that JJ got into foul trouble.

We would surely be looking at 3 20+ games again.

And Amare is well on his way to the high 20s again.

Eisley and Jacobsen could easily be the worst backup backcourt in the entire NBA.

Milos can't be worse than Eisley.

We need a capable backup for JJ for situations like tonight.

This is the first game in awhile that I've been complaining about the referees. They've made a bunch of mistakes against the Phoenix Suns so far.

Zarko Cabarkapa is struggling tonight. In fact 46 of Phoenix's 48 points and then scored by four players (Shawn Marion, Amare Stoudemire , Barbosa, and JJ). I was hoping we would see a blowout by the Phoenix Suns, so Lampe could get into the game.

That's correct. I thought tonight was the 5th game of his IR stay.

And why does D'Antoni always sub Casey Jacobsen for Amare Stoudemire?

That makes absolutely no sense at all.

That's right about Lampe. I don't know what I was thinking.

This current lineup is a big-time mistake from D'Antoni. He needs to get one of the guards out of the game and put Cabarkapa in there.

I hear the injury to Amare might not be that bad... Anybody watching the game with a more specific report?

Man Jacobsen, Eisley and Googs shouldn't be playing at all. They are just horrible.

We will be in good shape if we can get capable bench players in the offseason.

They also need to give the ball to JJ in crunch time. Barbosa still needs to learn the offensive plan better and those rookie things and Marion is too shaky with his handle.

It sucks with Amare, he should have easily have had 20+ even with limited minutes in the 2nd half but he got only 2-3 shot attempts in the 2nd half.

We lose Stephon Marbury and Penny Hardaway.

Only Howard Eisley from that trade gets any real minutes. And he stinks in those minutes.

And yet, we have a 3-game winning streak.

Hmmm, interesting, no?

You obviously were not watching the game. Well, I know you weren't. I have ragged on Casey Jacobsen for most of this season (there was a stretch I actually praised him). He might not have put up great numbers tonight, but he played very well defensively. He did a good job as a role player off the bench tonight. Howard Eiseley also played just fine off the bench. Tom Gugliotta put forth a lot of effort. Overall I would say his performance was not a good one, but he did slap a few balls away and dove on the floor after loose balls.

I was very impressed with the young Suns tonight. They did have too many turnovers, especially down the stretch, but I figure they will improve there. It's to be expected somewhat because they are passing the ball more and pushing up the floor more than they used to do.

Yeah, but Barbosa's minutes have skyrocketed as a direct result of that trade. Not to mention the fact that Amare is back.

Good to see the Suns hold on for the victory.

My guess is that Zarko was hurting tonight, since he didn't play at all in the second half. I hope he and Amare are both OK.

It's kind of amazing that the Suns played with three guards 10+ minutes, and they still won the rebounding battle handily. Marion's 16 boards were a big part of that, obviously.

I'll grant you the Amare reference. But there isn't a person on this board that thought that Barbosa could put up the stats he's been putting up. If anyone else claims that, they're a liar. :D
