I'll grant you the Amare reference. But there isn't a person on this board that thought that Barbosa could put up the stats he's been putting up. If anyone else claims that, they're a liar. :D

Well....I drafted him in one of the Fantasy Leagues and posted a thread back in December that he should start, so is that enough? :D

Edit: The "unsung" hero of the game would have to be White...
He came up with several clutch rebounds (especially on the offensive board).... He's definitely a physical presence that they've lacked the last couple years.....

Not even the seven turnovers? ;)

He also managed to turn every steal into an outlet pass for the Trailblazers.

I know. I kept yelling at him through the TV, but I did like the effort. (I'm trying to be more positive tonight)

I might be in the minority here, but I don't think Howard Eiseley has been THAT bad. In fact I think he's done a decent job as a backup point guard.

I don't think Cabarkapa was really hurting tonight. He just wasn't playing well at all.

Marion 22 16 and 7 to go with 3 steals.

Just think if he was a star

I agree. I mean, the man's no Marbury. He doesn't need to be spectacular.

Those stats don't do him justice for this game. He was everywhere quite possibly the best I've ever seen him play.

Watching the replay it didn't look too bad. He motioned for throat slashing and was smiling afterthe play. Also it did not look like it got twisted merely landed with his and Patterson's weight on it.

1st off all two facts:

1. I haven't seen any Suns games since the Marbury-trade.
2. I really liked Marbury.

But don't the Suns play a better team basketball after the Marbury-trade?
Isn't this the way how DEN, MEM and partially UTA were rebuilding their teams? (and the Suns are (much) more talented than the above teams were.)

Hustle play, team-basketball, good chemistry.
That seems to be a new trend in NBA. And it's a quite succesfull one.
Don't also the Suns follow that?

I only listened to part of the game, so it was hard to tell what was happening except that the Suns had a terrible 2nd quarter.

Was there an explanation as to why Harvey was DNP?

Did White play in the first half? I listened to the period when Googs was playing and it did not sound pretty. I kept wondering why Googs was playing and White was not.

Carbakapa had a dismal 4 minutes, but I could not understand why he did not return.

Yes, he did and still does. I was him an hour before the game tonight working on his outside shot ... he was actually fairly consistent at making them as well.

BTW being at that game I will tell you seeing Amare's block in person that it was just plain SICK!

After the game Amare said that his toe hurt worse than his ankle ... and that it was minor.

Yes it was extremely bad. There were several defensive lapses, Suns were called for 2 defensive 3 second penalties, they kept turning the ball over, and the offense when the didn't turn it over was just plain stagnant (it didn't looked like any set plays worked and nobody wanted to take the shot).

In short it was ugly!

None that I know of!

Did White play in the first half?

Yes he did ... he checked in when Jake (as usual) got into foul trouble. I think he only played a few minutes in the first half though (or at least it seemed that way).

I listened to the period when Googs was playing and it did not sound pretty. I kept wondering why Googs was playing and White was not.

Googs checked in after Jahidi got into foul trouble late in the 2nd Quarter and no it wasn't fun to watch. Googs needs to go to the end of the bench and stay there for the rest of the season!!

Carbakapa had a dismal 4 minutes, but I could not understand why he did not return.

When Zarko was on the floor, he looked like he was completely lost. I don't know why but he just looked like mentally he wasn't there (put up horrible, tough shots and was a liability defensively).

He probably didn't play again due to his ineffectiveness IMO!

Zarko still holds his wrist every time he's in the game. It must still be bothering him. I don't know if it's after shooting or if he's getting hit on it by defenders or just catching passes.

That's what I was wondering.

I hope not. I keep hoping it's like somebody checking the tennis racket for holes after they miss a ball. :)

Zarko was wincing and holding his wrist after a play late in the GS game. I figured he'd taken a hit on it. Wasn't surprised to see him playing tentatively tonight.
