Possible backup Pg solution

Monta Ellis is getting ready to come back off the suspended list for Golden State but they don't have a roster spot for him. Rob Kurz is supposedly well-liked by Nellie so they won't cut him, and the rest of their roster is guaranteed. They are pretty much stacked on guards as it is. They have Jackson, Crawford, Ellis, Azubuike, Anthony Morrow, DeMarcus Nelson, and Marcus Williams. Marcus Williams would be nice to get somehow as a backup, though obviously the warriors would have to buy him out or do a 2-for-1 trade with us to pick one of their guards up. Just a possibility...

Is MarcusW any good? I recall he had a good rookie season backing up Kidd but have not heard from him ever since. We just got some trade exception from the jR deal I heard and should be able to use it on him if necessary.

well he's definitely better than dragic, and still very young. we isn't getting many minutes in Golden State because of how many guards they have. he's probably going to be less needed once ellis gets back. i don't think we got a trade exception from that deal. if they really wanted to dump him, we could offer the second rounder we got from charlotte
