seriously George, you've got to stop posting outright fabrications (Suns met with him at the start of FA) and then following it up with speculation on said complete fabrications. It can be really confusing and could possibly derail any meaningful conversation.

Brown's agent said in the recent past the Suns have been interested since before the trade deadline, and Kerr confirmed yesterday afternoon that PJ Brown was the first player they contacted yesterday morning. I don't think George is speculating all that much.

Cheesbeef, I like and respect you, however, Hooverdam is right. Why are you so hard on George?

Yes, I should add this to my sentiment as well, you seem very knowledgeable and are certainly one of the better posters on this board, but your constant hounding of George just rubs me the wrong way sometimes.

Thank you.

Free agent (and trade) negotiations are generally not well documented in the press. I cannot go back and re-examine the various comments made in the local paper about PJ, but his name has been brought up a lot while other lower end bigs were not. I may have read too much into their comments, but I do not think I'm out of line in saying there has been conversation.

And if they can talk P.J. Brown into a Grant Hill contract - Brown shares the same agent with Suns' general manager Steve Kerr - then all will be fine.

because people who outright fabricate facts cloud any reasonable conversation. I don't go out of my way to be anythign to George - he constantly posts things that a) aren't true and b) have no basis in fact so I ask him where he got the information or how he came to what I believe to be ridiculous assertions.

again, George, there is a great deal of difference between CONVERSATION and a VISIT. No one's saying there wasn't talk, but there's been tlak with other teams as well. It's the fact that you said Brown VISITED THE SUN AND MET WITH NO OTHER TEAMS which is the issue. Not that there's been interest.

Maybe I misunderstand you?

I hope your not referring to me here because IMO I don't ever remember hounding George nor anyone. Now we have had some good discussions, but that's different. Sharing differences of opinion is what discussion is all about.

Has anyone thought of the possibility that the Suns added the 2 first round picks for a reason? Everyone around the league is scratching their heads over the fact that we gave up the 2 first rounders along with a HEALTHY expiring player in KT for just a TE and 2nd rounder.

Maybe that a follow-up trade of the TE to Seattle? The Sonics have a plethera of bigs now with KT there.

Here's a list of their bigs (SF-PF-C) on the roster for this year:
KT
Wilcox ($6.5 mil)
Collison ($5.75 mil)
Swift ($2.602 mil)
Petro ($1.077 mil)
Sene ($2.106 mil)
Durant
Green
Wilkins ($2.9 mil)
Gelebale ($802k)

Maybe a follow-up of the TE for a combo of a big or two, like Wilcox and Sene or Collison and Petro?

We could use the James Jones TE for Petro or Sene. I don't think Swift is on the block because he might finally be healthy.
