Interesting calls. Tebow to Jacksonville would be a big shock tbh eventhough a lot of people are now thinking Tim goes higher then expected. Claussen to the niners wouldnt really shock me as they do need a QBOF and Clausen is about as it good as it gets in this draft. The last one doesnt happen. Several teams need RB's and i see no way that both Spiller and Matthews fall out of the top 50. Personally i even see Jahvid Best going in the top of the second round. Really interesting calls though.

I think Spiller will be the only back taken in the first 50. Too many great line prospects to take a running back early. It's a fairly weak class for backs, after all.

I can see your reasoning but i'm pretty sure Spiller goes top 20 and its no secret that Chargers want a running back and most likely would take Ryan Matthews. But its your call and itll be worth monitoring how that plays out.

3. Time for the big surprise shot call - Pierre Paul falls out of the 1st round. That is right I said it. The guy looks super raw on film, has only played one year of football really, and for a guy who was supposed to be super athletic thus negating his rawness he put up some pretty poor numbers minus the 40 yard dash. Agility drills and Explosion drills were very pedestrian. Plus the consensus among scouts is that the guy came off very bad in interviews at the combine, proday, and private workouts.
I read basically the same appraisal of him somewhere, and couldn't figure out why he was being so highly ranked...

Pierre-Paul is certainly overrated for somebody thats played so little college football but crazier things have happened then him going in top 10 possibly to the mighty logic of Al Davis.

1. Dez Bryant doesn't go top 15 and slides all the way to Dallas

2. SF passes on C.J. Spiller and doesn't draft a RB at all.

Now for the big shocker

3. The Raiders actually draft smart instead of drafting the best athlete. In fact, they don't take a single player who ran under a 4.4 the entire draft.

Bump.

1) All of the talk out of Jacksonville about drafting the best available athlete is just that, talk. Del Rio wants to win, Weaver needs to sell tickets. Weaver's the boss. With that in mind they make the biggest reach in the draft and take Teabow.
2) SF takes Clausen with their pick 1a, hoping to benefit from the luck of the Irish once more.
3) Only on running back is taken in the first 50 picks.

They sure surprised everybody with the Alualu selection. Who is this guy?

my wife's friend called for her just a little after 7 last night. Wife wasn't home so i talked to her and asked who Jax is taking(she is seeing one of their scouts) she said she thinks some guy from California. I assumed a USC,UCLA guy or Jimmy Clausen. I never knew she meant Cal because she's not much of a football fan. Still, that was a way out of left field pick.

If someone pegged that pick, they deserve a gold star. Made of solid gold.
