BS offense!
1st and goal at the 5. to go up by 10 with 5 minutes left!
Reiman shouldn’t have even een in with this situation. He had already jumped twice! But you allow the rookie to do it again in a crucial goal to go.
THEN…Kyler panics once again and heaves a grounding penalty to push them WAY BACK! You can’t be a champion if you keep making stupid *SS decisions when it counts!
So infuriated with this team I can’t even stand to look at them right now. There is no moral victory here!!

Cards could have just lost by 4 touchdowns today. A loss is a loss - period. Petzing, KM, and the rest of the inept offense are doing exactly what the Cards have done for several years. Collapse in the 2nd half of the season. When they finish 7-10 or 6-11, I wonder if Petzing will be fired? And will they draft a QB?

Kyler had multiple bonehead plays in this game. I think it’s very fair to say I’ve been one of his biggest backers since he declared for the draft. I don’t want him replaced but that doesn’t mean we need to pretend he doesn’t eff up. The pick on the miscommunication with Wilson was inexcusable if for no other reason than we were in control and didnt need to risk letting them back in the game. The draw play where he pulled back and threw was dumb. Not running OB was dumb.

We didn’t lose because of Kyler. No one player loses games in football. Our defense put us in position to win though. We didn’t. As the QB, that starts with him.

And yes, Petzing needs to grow a set. Wtf is the point of having 4 RB’s on your depth chart if you’re only willing to use 1? Arians threw away legit Super Bowl chances over loyalties to his personal (Amos Jones over anyone, Lindley over Warner). Petzing doesn’t need to go that far but good god, you’ve got probably the deepest RB room we’ve had since the SB if not since STL. Run the ball.

Nah… I bet they still end up with 8 wins, but that will be another 2-5 collapse by Kyler and Company. Hope I’m wrong.

How can other teams drive down the field and score to win a game but the Cardinals can’t seem to pull it off???
How did I know they were going 4 and out??
Because it’s “The Cardinals”!
And the jack*ss commentator had to end it with, “They are who we thought they were…hahahaha”
I wanted to reach through the TV and rip his head off!

Don’t think the coaches read these posts but I sure wish they did!
Get your sh*t together or find another profession!
I haven’t been this upset about a loss in a loooong time!

We've done it 3 times this season.

The phantom false start call hurt but Kyler had an unforgivable intentional grounding the next play. Mistakes like that generally come bank to haunt you.

\Oh 100 percent but the ONLY REASON we threw the ball there was because they missed the call. From the 2 yard line we're not throwing we're running. Kyler blew it with the grounding and that's on him but that play never happens if they get the prior call correct.

You could see how stunned Kyler was remember he literally threw the ball thinking he had a free play, and it got picked by Murphy. When the ref called it on us he threw his hands up he was stunned, as was I.

I’m still puzzled at this decision. Did Conner getting hurt forced this decision???
That's my guess he didn't trust Benson in there so he didn't run the ball on first from the 10 but yeah that was just a terrible play call and a horrible decision by Kyler.

The first pick was dumb, he was stepping up if he tries to run for it he might get it, if not, just punt the ball and pin them.

But in the end if they don't miss the call, we almost certainly win this game. My friend from school, lifelong Vikings fan, just pmed me that exact thing, if they call that right you win we lose

I do hate how uncertain it is when we get the ball back with time and 3 time outs. No confidence at all in the offense to get it done. Kicking to go up by 6 is a negative EV play as well, stupid decision.
Right!
Should’ve went for it on 4th and goal. Worst case we don’t get it but they have to go 95 yards and would probably settle for a FG attempt on 4th down

Since we're over reacting, another game where I feel like Petzing has to trust Benson now and give him the rock a bit more. Conner averaged 4YPC so not bad and he's great, happy we extended him, but Benson had 3 carries for 20 yards a 10 and 9 yard run in there. When it's first and goal from the 10 after the bad call, I would have really liked to see us run the ball with Benson.

You're not just playing the Vikings there you're playing the clock The ball was snapped at 4:14 after the bad call, if we run the ball with Benson, or Kyler pulls it and runs himself, if we don't score you're going to take almost a minute off the clock if they don't call a timeout there. So instead of forcing them to use a timeout or snapping the ball at say 3:20, we snap the ball at 4:09 and get the grounding penalty.

Benson has looked better for weeks now, he's not perfect but with Conner shook up there you need to trust him and run the ball.

I feel like that series is the key to the rest of our season either learn from it, put it behind us and move forward, or it haunts us the last 5 games.

But what even pissed me off the most is calling FIVE WIDE at the (7?) yard line?? When we were moving the ball with a RB in the backfield. THAT is gonna haunt me for a minute & easily Petzing’s worst call since he has been here.
Eh the rest of the game everyone was bitching about petzig being too conservative in the red zone. As usual, if the offense fails he can’t win with whatever he calls. That’s not defending petzig’s calls, but rather pointing out there is no way he’s winning no matter what.

Looking back, 4th down from the 5 yard line with 4:30 to go.
A td wins the game. Play to win. We took the fg KNOWING a td would mean we lose the game.
Had we failed the Vikings would have had to drive at least 60 yards to TIE the game and 95 yards to score a td.

Bottom line, this staff chose to put it in the hands of the defense. It tells you what they think about this offense.

The narrative/commentary is not accurate but if we get this encroachment penalty, we win this game. 1st and goal at the 2.5 yd line. We likely run it in.

He needed to get outside the tackle box. He wasn’t close
That was also first down at the 10 yard line… and he ended up 15 yards behind it because he started running backwards. Just a horrific play all around in that moment.
