Potato Soup

Anybody with someting similar to the Walkabout Soup at Outback.

We're going to have a soup weekend at the house. Any help is appreciated.

It's like cream of potatio with chives and bacon. I'm sure there is more to it but it is tasty.

My mother in law makes potato soup without bacon. Please, that's like having a potato salad without mayo.

I like to do it like this:

Chicken Stock
Cubed potatoes
small cut carrots
Celery
Onion
Bacon
Cheddar Cheese
4 pats of butter
Sour Cream
Black Pepper
Salt

That's about a 2000 Calorie soup... served in a nice healthy bread bowl

No, I just generally can't stand the taste of them.

There are a few dishes I don't mind bell peppers in (fajitas, cheesesteak & pizza are about it), other than that, I can't stand 'em.

My wife somewhere got the recipe for the potato soup served at Black Angus restaurants. It is very good, topped with cheese and bacon and green onions. You might google it and find it as well...

Potato soup is good, but this thread made me think of potato pancakes. Now that REALLY sounds good!
