The Philadelphia 76ers still have 13 games left in the 2024-25 season as they look to get themselves in the best position possible to keep their top 6 protected draft pick. After a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, the Sixers sit at 23-46 and have the fifth-worst record in the league.
As the Sixers chug along with their season, it's time to look at some draft prospects in the NCAA Tournament. One name that has popped up a lot in mock drafts due to his potential fit is Texas freshman Tre Johnson who has been a terrific scorer all season for the Longhorns.
The tournament for Texas began on Wednesday in the First Four. Johnson poured in 23 points with six rebounds while knocking down four triples on the night, but it wasn't enough in an 86-80 loss to Xavier. On the flip side, one can see how he would fit in the NBA due to his elite shooting ability and movement without the basketball.
Xavier will move on to face Illinois in the Round of 64 as they look to go on a deep run.
