Three games left to go, and the current players on the Cardinals have the opportunity to start doing some immortal stuff within the game of NFL football.

This is an organization that dates back more than 100 years, an original member of the NFL. They have won 11 games in back-to-back seasons for first time ever, after winning 11 only three times before 2014.

There can only be one first time.

A win this weekend will result in a NFC West Division championship. But, more so than that, it will be the first time, EVER, the Cardinals win 12 games in a season. Put it in the record books. First ever. Another team may come by and win 12 games, but they won't be the first to do it.

Once a laughing stock of the league, the long time Washington Generals of the NFC East. The worst franchise in the league for a long point of time while boiling in Sun Devil Stadium.

This is not the Cowboys, the Steelers, the Packers, the Giants, or the Patriots.

Its not like the players on the Cardinals who are looking at potentially making history jumping on the bandwagon. No, they have started something special, something original and new. Something never seen before, and that goes against what the "norm" has been.

Thus these players get to enjoy this, they earned it, they started this and now get to finish it. They get to be the ones that got there, they get to be the "first ones to accomplish this."

But, this hopefully will only wet the appetite. A Superbowl win would be the crowning achievement. Not only to win the Superbowl, but to do so with the Cardinals, and to be the first ones to do it. Sorry if I sound eccentric, but it means a little bit more if it happens for this franchise.

And every single player will be immortalized, because they will be the first.
