These youngsters better step it up. Let's hope the pass rush hides the inexperience we have at DB

Replaceable, but makes not drafting anyone more than a project corner this season a bit more concerning.

Should help in receiving another comp pick, next year.

Will not be a factor because the signing is on or after May 12...no one who signs after this date will count toward comp picks, one way or the other.

That said, when Jerraud Powers signed his FA deal with the Cardinals, the main rap on him was durability. Over the 3 years of his deal with AZ his durability progressively waned. Other teams clearly took notice of that. As we've seen, when healthy, Powers is an above average nickel CB. He's an adequate starter on the perimeter, but clearly his strength is playing the slot in sub packages, which is very likely what his role will be in Baltimore, health permitting.

I wouldn't call Harlan Miller a project corner. His technique seems very well polished & has good ball skills. It wouldn't shocked me if not only he jumped ahead of Brandon Williams on the depth chart, but Justin Bethel as well.

I wanted to see him back with us, but can't blame him for going to Baltimore. Hope he does well there

Maybe not a project but he will struggle in his rookie year for sure.

This feels like a mistake. Powers was the only Vet CB in this world who could come in and contribute immediately.

Because now even if we do bring in a depth veteran CB, he wont know the system like Powers did.

In a SB push year that was a dumb move. This is one of those occasions where Keim should've paid.

I'm kinda glad we didn't resign him, he wasn't a bad player, but I think. Bethel should improve now that he has some actual game time CB work under his belt. We have a number of young guys that need all the work they can get between now and the season and having a Vet taking reps away at this point doesn't help their progress. And at some point if the young guys don't step up other teams will be making cuts and a Vet CB can be picked up closer to the start of the season IMO.

Powers=common player. Move on. There is a reason we didn't hang on to him. I'd rather sign Jefferson long term because he's white and you can't trust white people.

Or be great from the start like Ronald Darby for Buffalo was last year. Who knows?

1.7mil/1year

That seems reasonable. It would have made me feel better to have insurance.

I will have to trust Keim and Arians know what they are doing.

Disappointing we couldn't bring him back into the fold. These rookies better be good.
