1. Matt Leinart: With the exception some protection break downs(not his fault) he was very good tonight. Accurate and decisive. Lead a scoring drive but should have lead 2 if not for Beanies "fumble"

2. Greg Toler: Been preaching it all training camp. The guy would hold his own physically against the likes of Larry fricken Fitzgerald. Continues to show he is astarting caliber CB who is athletic and has ball skills to match.

3. Daryl Washington: Again smooth and quick to the ball. in on a number of plays. Not easily fooled at all on run/pass. he is a natural and just has good instincts. I truly think he will be a better player than Dansby by next season. I hope he remains a starter from this point on.

4. Stephen Williams: Again just afantastic outing against another teams #1 CB's. This kid is a real gem. JUST WOW!

5. Dan Williams: Held his ground and was disruptive as well. Played well and looked like a 1st round DT should tonight.

6. Calais Campbell: PB talent and has the tools to be a HOFer if he can stay healthy. Thats a huge leap but I truly believe it.

7. Tim Hightower: Ran beautifully tonight. Was running around people and through people. Was a real pleasure to watch tonight!

8. Derrick Anderson: Made two bad throws tonight and was lucky one wasnt picked off. Other than that he was pretty damn good. lead a nice scoring drive and had some nice touch on a few passes.

9. Max Komar: this kid should absolutely make the final 53. It will be a shame when he doesnt. may be forced to carry 6 WR's and dump one of the QB's.

Toler

HAGGANS was a BEAST...all over the place

Toast was very impressive, should have had 2 TDs there.

Anderson had a good outing...still inaccurate but if we roll with him, we roll with him.

SWilliams...look out Early.

Calais is a stud.

Gabe Watson

Komar for the first time made me want to keep him.

TIMMAH!!! Great running from Tim. Makes the PA a threat when a guy can move through a hole. Thanks for showing up for this one Tim...was worried you forgot how to attack.

Whis...seems like he is getting this team rolling in the right direction.

I thought he moved pretty well in the pocket when the protection broke down. At least once if there was an open guy he could have gotten rid of it.

4. Stephen Williams: Again just afantastic outing against another teams #1 CB's. This kid is a real gem. JUST WOW!
I'm going to be the first to say it: I think I might like to see Williams get a shot a Breaston's #2 spot. I love Breatson as a #3, but I'm not uber-psyched about him as a full-time starter.

8. Derrick Anderson: Made two bad throws tonight and was lucky one wasnt picked off. Other than that he was pretty damn good. lead a nice scoring drive and had some nice touch on a few passes.
My opinion of DA is slightly improving, but you can't be an NFL-calibre QB only 80% of the time and be starter. I think ultimately his inconsistency from pass to pass keeps him on the bench.

Agree with all but Calais' failure to wrap up Chester Taylor in the backfield led to a 34 yard gain.

I think he's lucky he throws so damn hard, because when he misses sometimes he throws it RIGHT at a LB or CB...and they can't catch it. Silver lining, I guess. :)

Reference breaston, yo would be the 2nd :)

I mentioned it in the first half in the game thread. I 100% agree!

Overall most impressive to me was Haggans on D and Williams on O. Haggans was in on every play, all over the place. Williams was great...starter great, and made some of DA's borderline throws be completions. He's also a tough SOB. How the HELL did that dude slip through the entire draft?

1. Greg Toler - if he did not lock up the starting spot tonight, well I would be shocked. Great coverage.

2. DRC - aside from those first couple half-assed played he got beat on, he was hitting hard and covering as well as he normally does.

3. Daryl Washington - totally kept up with the first teamers, and was reading the pass/run very well, dropping into coverage at the right times, etc. He is SMART and FAST. He may make a few mistakes, but I think he and Lenon are good for now, and if Hayes can get back in and play well, he and Hayes will be more than adequate at ILB.

4. Calais Campbell - what do I even need to say about this guy that isn't obvious?

5. Stephen Williams - Man, what a find. When he fills out and gets his quickness up, he is going to be very, very good.

6. TOAST - QB rating of 135, should have had 2 touchdowns. If he doesn't start game 1, Whiz has been drinking purple drank with Jamarcus.

7. THT - I am as big a Beanie fan as anyone, but timmy looked great once the line started doing its job.

Hall is impressing me right now.

I love the kid, I don't know if he'll ever be an NFL starter but he has Ty Detmer solid NFL backup written all over him IMHO.

Anderson, Leinart, and Hall all looked good tonight at QB. Max Komar was impressive at WR, so was Stephen Williams. The 1st unit of the defense looked solid, but Cutler has a tendency to make a lot of defenses look solid!

I would too but he had one horrible punt.

I may be dring the koolaide (vodkas actually) but even the bad punt was due to a good rush from the Bears so I give him credit for getting the ball off without a blocked punt.

I liked your original list, I couldn't do better. And as much as I respect our Coach, I will take a wait and see attitude. Winning when it counts is all that matters. No one seems to approve of the way he is handling the QBs, if it pays off he will look like a genius.
