I think we're going to be looking for another PG in two years regardless, so there's no point in giving up assets in the meantime. If Ulis were just a little better now I'd be advocating for trading Bledsoe for an expiring and more picks.

Glad to see a few other people are at least considering Ulis. Given that he is more Nash-like after his rookie year than Nash was after his rookie year - and 3 years younger - I think Ulis is a great gamble. Even in the most unlikely event that he progresses little he'll at least give our young guys the opportunity to participate in a team game for a year or two. That's important for them at this stage and it gives the team a much better basis for judging their basketball value.

If Ulis proves out, we'll be far, far ahead of where we'd get with two years of Irving and we'll have had two years of entertaining basketball.

Based on performance and production Ulis would be considered a very hot pg prospect and a starter in the making. But he has to be 4 inches taller for those numbers to matter much--at least for most people.

Ulis is certainly going to be an effective back up point guard. The question is whether he can be an effective starting pg. I am not sure why not. If IT can do it, I would think Ulis can. Ulis is a pesky defender. He can distribute remarkably well, he can make open shots, he even gets hustle rebounds.

Some opposing point guards will muscle him or post him up. But that is what switching defenses are for. And he could steal the ball from them while they are trying to do it.

Schools still out on Ulis, but I am have an open mind.

It would be interesting to play Ulis, Irving and Booker in stretches of the game where Ulis would essentially be the PG. This would be a potent combination offensively.
