Things have changed.
only if his contract is up
Interesting. He has only been there for one year.
only if his contract is up
I agree with this until his play dictates a greater role.Cole's value is versatility as a backup. Keep him on the roster for that purpose.
If Keim re-signs Shipley, I will puke while crying.
When does FA season start?
I expect some bigger splash signings this year, instead of the usual run of third tier guys, a week or two after all the other teams start signing.
It's not like Keim didn't try last year though. Would've been nice to have Alford and Philon out there this year.
I would be very happy signing Amari, and would sign off on it in a heartbeat even if it made the rest of the team a little worse. Can't let our division rivals once again soak up all the major talent. We have a lot of room under the cap to resign a few of our own and pick up some parts.
Resign Humphries and Drake on O.
Throw it out there prediction: Amari Cooper is a Cardinal next year. We have plenty of recent draft picks, young guys, and up and comers to fill out the receiver room, but need a #1 badly. Can't blow off the lines in the draft anymore though. This is one spot we could fill in FA that would impact the team the most, and has at least a possibility of happening. Dallas can't resign Dak and just paid Zeke AND sign Amari at the same time. I think Cooper is the odd man out.
Probably want to take a look back at their recent classes.I would be very happy signing Amari, and would sign off on it in a heartbeat even if it made the rest of the team a little worse.
That said, Dallas has drafted really well and actually can afford to bring back both Dak and Cooper because they have so much young talent. Functionally the opposite of us.
2019 - not good so far, but they did snag Amari Cooper using their first pick, and Tony Pollard is about as good as Chase Edmonds. We'll see what happens with McGovern.Probably want to take a look back at their recent classes.
I mentioned him a while back as a potential DC replacement for VJ. 2 reasons why. 1. He played with KK at TT. 2. The 49ers defense is doing so well.scott bordow (@sbordow)

One name to keep an eye on as Kingsbury remakes staff: San Francisco 49ers DL coach Kris Kocurek, who played with Kingsbury at Texas Tech. Has been defensive line coach in NFL since 2010
Only good players you put on this list was Zeke, Gallup, Dak, & Jaylon Smith(who was meh as hell this year). Dak is a polarizing figure because don’t realize if he’s good or bad.2019 - not good so far, but they did snag Amari Cooper using their first pick, and Tony Pollard is about as good as Chase Edmonds. 2018 - Leighton Vander Esch is a potential star and was ranked #4 of all linebackers in his rookie year by PFF, contributing 140 tackles. Connor Williams is a starter. Michael Gallup is also a starter, completely obliterating Christian Kirk in all stats, who was drafted a round earlier.
2017 - Chidobe Awuzie is a starting CB, Xavier Woods is a starting S.
2016 - Zeke, Jaylon Smith, Maliek Collins, Dak Prescott, all starters or stars.
Maybe you should take a look back man, that's nothing like what we have. 4 starters in the same period, and nowhere near the same amount of players still on the roster.
I'll chuckle at your constant "these players are only good if I say they're good" post, because it happens all the time, but whatever.Only good players you put on this list was Zeke, Gallup, Dak, & Jaylon Smith(who was meh as hell this year). Before injury, LVE was awful this year. Chalk it up to sophomore slump I guess. He might not even get to play football again due to the neck injury.
Just because they’re starters doesn’t mean anything. Justin Murray is a starter for us. What does that mean exactly?
Stop using us as the low mark, dude. That’s not saying much at all. I already know what we have.
Am I not allowed to say they’re not when I watch them? If I say they’re good or at least decent & damn near all of our players suck, would that be better?I'll chuckle at your constant "these players are only good if I say they're good" post, because it happens all the time, but whatever.
My point is that they have players in starter positions at cheap, affordable prices. Are they amazing? Maybe not, but we don't even have that. The point of my post is that the reason they have the financial flexibility to re-sign both Dak and Amari Cooper is because they're not in a situation where only four of their picks out of the last 30 are capable of even seeing the field.
This is an Arizona Cardinals message board - we can fight about how solid the rest of the teams are or not in a different thread, but the fact of the matter is that we can't afford splash free agents and won't be able to sign a guy like Cooper because we have to replace nearly 30% of the roster with higher paid free agents to even field a team this year.
I guess we've just talked about so many players you think "suck" that I don't know who in this league you think is actually good. Guys I think are stars or borderline great players are the only ones you never think suck. When I hear suck, I think of Haason Reddick or Brandon Williams, guys who should genuinely not be backups, much less starters.Am I not allowed to say they’re not when I watch them? If I say they’re good or at least decent & damn near all of our players suck, would that be better?
Fair enough.
Give me some random players & I’ll give you my opinion on them.I guess we've just talked about so many players you think "suck" that I don't know who in this league you think is actually good. Free agency opens March 18.
Who are you expecting to be "splash" free agents this year?

Tyler Boyd - CINGive me some random players & I’ll give you my opinion on them.
Very good.Tyler Boyd - CIN
Rodney Hudson - OAK
Ryan Tannehill - TEN
James White - NE
Alvin Kamara - NO
Shaq Thompson - CAR
Chris Jones - KC
...Just a random smattering. Some I like, some I don't love, just providing a mix.
If I'm going to make a move at WR, I'm doing it through free agency, so I find someone who has shown they can really dominate. If we get Lamb or Jeudy and they just fade into our poor-but-young WR corps? Ugh. I'm tired of throwing draft assets at unknowns with Keim in charge.100% no...please no.
Cooper is going to get 16-18m/year and doesn't show up half the time. He is good but not dominant/worth that contract. Someone will pay it but I hope its not us.
Their coaching also is heavily suspect. The roster has largely been considered to be one of the best in the NFL. Let's keep in mind, our picks aren't even good enough to beat other draft picks. We have 0 players from 2016, they have 4. We have 2 from 2017, one who is worth cutting. We have 3 from last year. They won three more games than we did, in a division where a 9-7 record was good enough to win it. In that same division, we would have easily been at least 8-8 with a rookie QB and head coach. Just because they start more draft picks doesn't mean they draft better. It just means the draft picks are better than what they had before (likely other draft picks).
I would be very happy signing Amari, and would sign off on it in a heartbeat even if it made the rest of the team a little worse.

I'm totally shocked you think Kamara is a star. I thought he'd grade out poorly. Nonetheless, fun exercise, we'll do it again sometime.Very good.
Very good.
Decent. Glad he away from the cancer Gase.
Above-average
Star
Took a while to get going, but he’s solid now.
Great. Would open the bank for him.
See, I don’t think every player only “sucks” or is “great”.
