Well, he "said" he was seeing stars, but we don't know that. And by the way, seeing stars is no big deal, I see them whenever I stand up too soon or drink really cold water. But right after playing dead and "seeing stars" he had plenty of energy to jump up and go charging toward Horry.

Just the idea of someone accusing Nash for flopping on that play makes me sick. Please, nash said he was seeing stars in the interview after the game was over. Was he trying to "flop" after the game was over? And I have a problem with you calling Nash unclassy, just because he confronted Horry. I can't believe you actually accused Nash for flopping, lying, as well as being unclassy after one of your players just delievered on him one of the most despicable cheap shots. I was so angry last night when I saw Horry hit Nash. If I was a player on court last night I probably would have thrown him a punch.

Julie obviously was a nash hater from the start how can she talk crap about Nash when Ginobli flops and injures other players cause of it. Classic. Julie you = pathetic idiot. Go back to your little crybaby forum and cry about how Amare and Diaw should get suspended.

Dear Julie,

Nash does indeed flop. Like Ginobli, he has used it to join the ranks of league leaders in taking charges. It is what it is.

But Horry's foul? Julie, that was not a flop. That is basic physics of a 190-lb. man running at full speed getting hip checked by a 240-lb. man at full stop. Nash's inertia had to take him somewhere, and Horry made sure it wasn't going to be forward.

Nash was clearly seeing stars, even after the game. Guys who see stars aren't usually guilty of acting.

eh, I wouldn't go that far...Nash got the hell fouled out of him, yes. Nash flew into the board hard, yes. But then he threw his hands back ridiculously forced and there was no reason to. It was kind of funny, and when he did that I realized he wasn't hurt at all...then he pops up and shoves Horry.

He threw some flop into that...almost as an afterthought. Not needed...it was Flagrant 2 all the way.

Attempting to defend Horry is like defending a murderer. I really doesn't matter if hadn't murdered anyone before.

Raja Bell is a hero for clotheslining Kobe last year. Horry is a murderer.

Come on.

Hello, Raja held Kobe up afterwards to keep him from getting hurt*. What more do you want.

*So I hear.

Oh, bullcrap. The serious posters on this board have never celebrated Bell's takedown of Bryant, and you know that.

Knock off the bogus characterizations. My patience with you is running out.

what? several of the posters on here had Bell clotheslining Kobe as an avatar. Do you forget this?

As Jenna reminded me, the Suns pregame this year featured the takedown in their promo videos, milking its marketing value.

Several posters haven't celebrated it, but several more have. I'm sure they will step and and say so too, because they are proud of it.

I said "serious" posters.

I simply don't believe that. If someone can prove it to me I will step down. If it's true, it's an abomination.

Yes, there are some idiots on this board. I would never deny that. Those aren't the ones who try to engage you in (relatively) thoughtful discussion, however.

It's true that in the arena they have shown the Raja takedown during highlight segments when we have played the Lakers either before the game or during the game at timeouts or quarter breaks. It has always been cheered loudly in the arena when it has been shown.

I have only seen it during Suns-Lakers games though in recaps of last years playoffs. It's not like they show it every game as a proud moment in Suns history.

As for Suns fans on here loving what Raja did, I'd say the majority loved watching the takedown happen, but I don't think anyone really condoned that type of play.

Is he not serious? Curious, I see him post a lot and he seems like a normal poster. But that avatar is STILL there.

I'll see if I can find something on it other than the thread, but I watched it...I know you aren't calling me a liar and want to see for yourself, but I watched it and was shocked. Raja talking pregame, behind him the clothesline incident.

I get that, but even on this thread:

http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/showthread.php?t=72154

It is chock full of good posters excited about the play.

I don't see a big difference in what Horry and Raja did, only with Raja's being probably more dangerous going at someone's neck.

Just an observation, e. You probably don't notice how prevalent it is because you don't care for the Lakers...I notice it every time because I do. I find it funny though the equation of Horry with a murderer, while Raja is just out there doing what needed to be done to win the series and be tough.

DD,

What was the thing I had to graph in high school trig? Wasn't it something like a hyperbole?

[banging my head in disbelief at certain thick-headed people on this board]. Why don't you back up your comments. Go back and read some of my posts before calling me an idiot...then go take a long look in the mirror at a real idiot.

1. I have called out Ginobili as a flopper
2. I said Nash was my favorite non-Spurs player in the NBA until that night.
3. I have stated 2 or 3 times (maybe for you I should write it in big kiddie crayon letters and draw a picture). that I DO NOT WANT Amare and Boris suspended at all.

And, for a bonus, read about how I said Horry was wrong and deserves a suspension.

If you are not too embarrassed by now and have the guts to defend your own stupid and erroneous comments, try to provide an answer to those three points. I answered your ridiculous and false accusations. Be man (or woman) enough to answer my logical and verifiable comments.

Yeah, I put that guy on Ignore after about a week. I don't want to get into calling other posters names, so let's just leave it at that.

I get that, but even on this thread:

Again, I'm not going to get into calling other posters names. I think my own involvement in that thread speaks for itself.

You probably don't notice how prevalent it is because you don't care for the Lakers...I notice it every time because I do.

I think you would be very well advised not to make assumptions about what I do and do not notice.

Raja's grab of kobe was retaliation for kobe throwing elboes at him multiple times with no calls by the refs, Nash never did anything to horry except school him in the game of basketball! thats the difference.

I don't know about 'Donald' specifically but other Lakers posters in here defend Kobe for throwing elbows at defenders' faces, which is more dangerous than Raja's 'clothesline' of their hero - he's been suspended twice for it. They claim that its justified by all the physical abuse he takes from defenders and, incredibly, that its part of his natural shooting motion. This last tells me that Kobe practiceses his elbowing action and that it is certainly intentional. There is the other thing, too - he elbows players in the face even when he's not shooting.

The type of play that Raja made on Kobe is something the refs couldn't possibly overlook so one thing we know is that its not something Raja does as a matter of course while Kobe's elbow shots are. He clocked Barbosa in the face with one during that same game after Raja was ejected. No call, of course.

The point of all this is for Donald - if you want to continue to harp on Raja's clothesline of Kobe you should, on this board, balance it out by putting it in context with all of Kobe's villainous actions. My reaction to Raja's action was that it was dumb move but entirely justified - and his choice of targets was perfect.

There is also the issue of the way Kobe walked around right after Raja got the flagrent 2 call, openly smirking for the camera. Of course, he paid dearly for that as the Suns thrashed Kobe's team for the remainder of the series.

Even as a new Spurs fan on a Suns board at a rather critical time, it's likely you'd get a lot more reasonable discussion from other posters and get answers to your logical and verifiable comments (such as Nash faking the effect of the hit -- please let us know how you've 'verified' that one) if you could cut back on some of your insults; e.g.

1. "idiot" (repeatedly)
2. "12-year-old moron"
3. "homer"
4. "maybe for you I should write it in big kiddie crayon letters and draw a picture"
5. "thick-headed people on this board"

If this is how you look for a rational discussion, what do you do when you really want to start a fight?

You'll think I'm totally out of my mind, it makes no sense whatsoever, I can't even explain why because I joined :koolaid: Anonymous and have been clean for two weeks now-------- but I have a GOOD feeling about tomorrow night.

We won't get Salvatore because he reffed tonight and needs his beauty sleep. Chances are with a tough game like this we'll get Bavetta heading up the crew.

Any insults from me were in response to particularly insulting and abusive comments made toward me. If I had not been first verbally attacked by certain posters, I would not have used those words. I came here because I was interested in the Suns' fan perspective, NOT to be a troll, and yet several of you have treated me as one. Before making any insulting comments, I was told by several people to get off this board and take my BS elsewhere. This was NOT in response to an insult. I am not the one trying to start a fight. You may have my comments, but you clearly haven't read what precipitated them. Also, I am not suggesting I can verify Steve Nashes flopping (some of your own fans have suggested he may have done this), I am saying my comments could be verified. I am telling the person- who was being combative and accusing me of saying things that I didn't, that he should look again at what I wrote, that was what was "verifiable". And please don't bother to suggest that I answer in a sweeter way. The guy was being a jerk to me, so I responded in kind. If anything I used restraint.
I thought it would be fun to have some good discussion about this exciting series with some Suns fans. Bad idea on my part.
