This is my first year without season tickets, be loud and proud for me guys! Ill be on my couch screaming and yelling as usual.

What is everyone most looking forward to?

As always, I am anxious to watch the rookies and see how useful they will be this year. I want to see how our oline and lienart perform, how the 2-5 WR behind fitz perform, running game.

On D I cant wait to watch the dline cause havok and hope to see the secondary not get burned. Other than that I will be watching Lenon and washington and snoring when the backups come in.

I've been out of the country for the last year, and out of Arizona for the last 3, but what's with these 5PM Saturday start times? The Dbacks are doing this and now I see this game starts at 5. What's up with that? I understand if its for National TV but what happend to 7PM starts?

I'm going to be camping, so this will be the first game I will not see in years. I will have my Sirius radio though, so thankfully I won't be completely out of touch...

If all goes well with my new setup at home, I will be recording the game to my computer in HD. If you're comfortable or familiar with torrents, I could send it to you that way.

Wish I was going. I still have my season tickets, but ironically, I am going to a farewell party for my former tailgating buddy.

Poor planning - or whoever is giving the party isn't a football/Cardinals fan! :billthecat:

Speaking of the heat and tailgating - Are people planning on tailgating on Sat.? Typically I don't tailgate due to church on Sundays.

Would also be willing to post the torrent info publically on the forums here if it's allowed by the moderators. I don't mind sharing with everyone.

I have no DVR and probably miss a few games this season due to my obsessive camping and boating on the weekends habit, any copies of games would be outstanding, I was about to buy something to record games so i could watch em when i get home sunday nights.

looks like i will have to wait until about 4am Tuesday morning to watch this on NFL Network on Game Pass. :mulli:

You might want to check again. The game is being played at midnight CDT on Sunday. Which would be at 11pm mountain time on Saturday.

I've posted this elsewhere, but it seems to fit here:

For Out of Towners -

NFL Network is continuing its grand tradition of shifting air-dates of preseason Cardinal games at the last minute (This is typically truest with regard to the first preseason game and they haven't let us down this time):

The original 1 am ET Monday 8/16 air date has been moved earlier by a day. The first airing (a rebroadcast of the live game) is now scheduled for Sunday morning 8/15 at 1 am (or roughly 5 hours after kickoff of the live game).

NFL Network also has scheduled additional re-airings of the game for Tuesday and Wednesday.

Meanwhile, I believe the FSN-AZ rebroadcast is scheduled to begin late Sunday morning. If they are true to past form, they won't black out the 30-minute preview show to out-of-town DirecTV subscribers and will air the first 120 - 180 seconds of the game itself before the "blue ribbon of blackout death" suddenly replaces it on the screen).

I strongly suggest that we all (a) double-check and double-double-check the NFL Network schedule (in case they change it again) and (b) cover yourselves by extending the duration of taping both forward and backward, set up timed-recordings for more than one scheduled date "to improve your odds of getting it" etc. etc.

You'd think by now they'd get it right.

Sorry, that is incorrect. Cincy has it's first game blacked out.

Linky

I remember in the pre-UOP days staying up and watching the replay start at 10-11pm that night.
Yep, I was wrong. The delayed broadcasts was what I was incorrectly remembering...

I believe the D-Backs have 5pm Saturday games so that families with kids can get them home at a decent time while giving the parents some time afterwards to go out.

I'm going to the game. Pretty excited it's my son's first NFL game! Tickets were so cheap on stub hub I'm bringing the whole family even the in-laws. Hopefully they don't try to have me committed after the game :)
