Preseason: Suns @ Jazz Monday game thread 12-14-20

The Suns play their second preseason game on Monday again against the Jazz in Utah.

On Saturday, the Jazz (1-0) beat the Suns (0-1) in Salt Lake City 119 -Suns 105.

Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. Arizona time.

It will be televised on FSAZ and NBATV.

After the Monday game, the Suns will have two remaining preseason games.

They will play the Lakers at home on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and on Friday at 8:30 p.m.

The Friday game will be televised by ESPN.

It seems Deandre Ayton has taken a special interest in rookie Jalen Smith.

I'm not expecting Saric, Paul and Crowder to play until the Suns return home to play the Lakers.

I wouldn't be surprised either way about Chris Paul. I am leaning that he'll play 10 minutes or so (especially since Payne is out), and probably not enough to really make a meaningful impact on the score, but might show the team what it will be like with him on the court in the regular season.

I can see different thoughts about this. My initial reaction is that Monty wants to find out how much depth he has at point guard.

Of course Monty might want to give Chris Paul a few minutes alongside Booker. And yes, it will likely mean more point Booker.

Personally I want to check out the depth at point guard. J.J. Barea is still out there.
