Prince William is opening up about his sporting superstitions — and how he relies on his kids to bring luck to his favorite soccer team!

The Prince of Wales, 42 — who is the patron of the English Football Association — is a big fan of Aston Villa F.C. and has already passed his love of the game to his eldest son, Prince George, 11, who has regularly joined him for multiple games at the team's home ground in Birmingham, England.

Speaking to U.K. newspaper The Sun in an interview published on Friday, March. 14, William admitted his three children — George, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — often get dragged into his game day rituals when he's watching the team play on TV at home.

“If I’m home alone with the children, I probably don’t have the pre-match pint but I do have a bit of superstition about where I sit when I’m watching them," William told the outlet.

"If we’re not doing very well, I start moving round the house quite quickly and I put the children in different positions hoping that’s going to change our luck,” he added about being a "paid-up member of Villa TV" when he can't make it to Villa Park stadium in person.

As for which teams his children support, William told the newspaper that he's "kind of hoping they’ll all find their own teams in time. They don’t all have to be Villa fans."

"I’m trying not to be biased but obviously they see how passionate I am about it and they watch the matches with me. I’m trying to spread the love a little bit," he added.

“They do have Villa shirts, and ask to come to games with me, but they have other shirts as well. There’s been a bit of courting going on by other managers too,” William jokingly continued, per the outlet.

Elsewhere in the interview, William admitted that he also goes on fan forums anonymously to see what fellow soccer fans are talking about.

“I like going on the forums, I can be on there for ages. I listen to what other fans have to say and give them my opinions. I get quite into it, definitely. It’s important to have that debate," he told The Sun.

William spoke to the newspaper the night before he attended Aston Villa's game against Belgium's Club Brugge at Villa Park on Wednesday, March 12.

His beloved team won 3-0, which earned them a UEFA Champions League quarter-final game against Paris Saint-Germain in the French capital next month.

William, who donned his team's scarf for the outing, was pictured in the stands with close friends, including Thomas van Straubenzee, who is one of Princess Charlotte's godfathers, and Edward van Cutsem.

The trio animatedly celebrated as the team made it through the game, with the royal grabbing van Cutsem's face at one point and punching the air.

It seems like William will now be heading to the French capital to watch his team in the next round on April 9, as he told reporters, "See you in Paris," while leaving the game, per Hello! magazine.
