I didn't say I was satisfied with 8-8 or that 8-8 was worthy of high fives.

I did say that we should get credit equivalent to being 8-8, as opposed to the line most of the press takes which is "Yes but they are the Cardinals so expect them to suck next year."

Man, this is some advanced form of Stockholm Syndrome. For the most part, National media tend to overrate the Cards and think that they're a team on the upswing. "Look out for the Cards!" is the usual post-draft analysis, especially in the Dennis Green years and even when Whis was hired ("they have the talent, now they have the coaching" was the frequent refrain).

Honestly, 12 seems high for an 8-8 team. They drafted 16th overall--that's probably where they deserve to be rated.
