meh - time to stop caring who has made a pro bowl since we moved it to pre superbowl even the worst guys go to pro bowls.

Yeah, being selected to the Pro Bowl no longer necessarily means you're the best at your position, just that you're available. Since most of the elite players turn it down because of "injuries", and the Superbowl participants can't play, the pool has gotten pretty diluted.

No he wasn't. He was a 2nd or 3rd alternate. Not the same.
