Three former Buffalo Bills are on Pro Football Focus' list of best available free agents. Former Bills hold the top two spots on the list, and three of the top nine for the PFF rankings.
Wide receiver Amari Cooper takes the top spot on the list. Buffalo traded for Cooper in the middle of last season. The hope was that the veteran wideout would give the Bills the No.1 receiving option out wide. Unfortunately, that never came to fruition. Cooper struggled with injuries during his time in Western New York. During eight games in Buffalo, Cooper mustered only 20 receptions for 297 yards and touchdowns.
Cornerback Rasul Douglas is second on PFF's list. Douglas was another trade acquisition, coming to Buffalo in 2023 via a midseason trade with Green Bay. Douglas shined during his initial time in Buffalo, registering four interceptions in nine games in Buffalo. However, Douglas did not record a pick during his only full season for the Bills.
PFF slotted edge rusher Von Miller as the ninth-best available free agent at this time. Miller signed a massive six-year, $120 million deal in 2022 with the Bills. The veteran had a tremendous start with Buffalo, recording eight sacks in 11 games during his first season with the Bills. However, he suffered a torn ACL in Week 11, effectively ending his most productive time in the twilight of his career. Miller returned but was limited to pass-rush specialist duties in limited time on the field. The former All-Pro wrapped up the 2024 campaign with 17 total tackles and six sacks.
The group still has a good shot at making signing for some sizable contracts. According to Spotrac, Cooper's market value is $18.9 million per season, while Douglas' is $11.9 million.
