I'm a transplant fan following Warner and I've gotta give you guys some props. This is the only Card's board that I frequent but that is because I prefer the type of board that has actual conversation going on. Most of the time, that's a rarity on the official sites.

Anyway, of the three Rams boards that I still go to (life long Rams fan, on a split until things change) there is still a ridiculous amount of Warner related threads. Rams fans are still dissecting every little thing he does on and off the field and he hasn't been on the team for 2 years.

Even after a disappointing loss last week to the Giants you guys have had intelligent conversation about what should, could or can be done to fix things. Hardly any talk about the qb position at all. A perfect example is the interception that Warner threw. It was ugly but I don't recall seeing anyone start a thread about it, or go on and on about how it proves that he's washed up or anything of that nature.

I realize that a lot of this lunacy is limited to a select few who flood the boards but it's refreshing to not see any of it here at all.

I admit that in my ignorance I've always considered Cardinals fans to be less savvy because of the team's poor performances. Now that I've lurked here for a while I can see that that isn't the case at all. Kudos, gang.

Nice of you to say........

But, believe me when I say that - had McCown started and thrown that pick -you'd have noted we have our fair share of lunacy on this board. :D

That's because we're all still analyzing the mistakes Jake makes.

Welcome. I think where this board stands out, is our ability to have civilized conversations with opposing team's fans also (MigratingOsprey and others).

I also think that Kurt had a good game considering we had no O-line or Running game. That one interception was not the turning point. Kurt will be fine I just hope the rest of the offense gets behind him and plays well. Thanks for your comments. P.S. Congrats to the Cardinals(baseball I think) team!

Yeah for the most part those types of threads don't fly here, but there are still some that just love to physco analyze every move some players make.

I'm not immune to over-analyzing but my focus has always been on the qb so I spend most of concentration on that position.

I've been surprised at the lack of depth and performance from the Card's o-line. The Rams always have problems in that area and I thought in Green's second year he would have been closer to fixing whatever the Card's problem was. From what I've read, Green release a quality starter out of spite and may not have made the best decisions regarding his replacement. I'm not saying anything that isn't known, but you just have to have a solid, if not good, o-line to have any success.

I was under the impression that the Card's line wasn't really that bad last year, just underacheiving with an old Emmitt and inconsistent McCown at the skill positions. If everything else stayed the same, a healthy Boldin, Warner and Shipp/Arrington should have been an improvement from last year to me. I didn't see that in week one at all.

I agree that Warner looked good enough. He seemed to get a little frusturated and impatient toward the end of the game but all in all passed the ball pretty well. Johnson was disappointing and I think Boldin was getting frustrated too. I read somewhere the receivers dropped 10 passes? That's not good at all. But, the Giants D is actually a good unit and was playing like it before losing some key players last year so getting stiffled by them isn't such a disgrace. Getting healthy against the Rams' questionable D should be a strong possibility. I think Shipp will be a better starter at rb right now even though I have high hopes for JJ. He looked like a man among boys at the Holiday Bowl vs. TT. For right now, I'd make him situational and give him time to acclimate to the speed of the NFL. Even if he's not as talented, Shipp is more polished and has the size to block as well as good enough hands to catch it out of the backfield. Ayonbedajio (sp?) needs to NOT be an option out of the backfield. Three pass receptions last week. Ugh.

Cards only brought in one replacement on the OL from last year. They got a free agent (Ross) from the Steelers. The other change was one of the guards from last year got beat out in an open competition by a rookie this year. The other change is Center where the Cards lost 4 guys in a row to injuries and had to start their 5th string guy. Seriously, who has 5 guys who can play center on their roster?
With the starting center returning and the rookie getting more settled the line play should improve week to week. That should help Shipp, Arrington, and the recievers all look better.

Amazing how some people can see the obvious even though they are relatively new Cards fans... :)

The reason Warner has not been blamed, or called out is because last week was not his fault.

Our C,RG,LG, and both DT's are still not that good.

It is hard to win football games with those positions being "soft"

As bad as he looked I didn't think that Lynch would get picked up after the Card's cut him. But today he was signed...by the Rams!
