I get it. He's annoying but he was on point all week. National guys were reporting stuff after Gambo reported it and gave him credit for it. Even some of the stuff that wasn't Suns' related. Stephen A gave him props on First Taje.

I'm not calling him a liar, but I don't think he should get any special credit for being one of the early adopters of an unsubstantiated rumor. Everyone in the media copies everyone else, so the only thing that matters is whether you actually get it right, not whether you were "first."

I think Gambo can be a blowhard. However, I think he has proven over and over to have inside information. Does he get everything right? No. Is it possible he jumped on a rumor early? OK. It's also possible he had inside information about a proposed or attempted trade. He gets stuff right often enough that I try and give him the benefit of the doubt. I wouldn't say he is "Jureki" like in comparison to the Cards but I definitely listen.

I think Gambo does like to spread rumor and that's his downfall. You simply don't ever know which one it is with him.

Are you serious? You think reporters like Marc Stein and Adrian Woj among many others would just say something simply because Gambo said it without confiriming it with their own sources?

I get that many people don't like Gambo because he can be a loud mouth and since he has a hot wife but to hate that blandly is not just insulting to Gambo but its also insulting to those reporters.

You can't seriously think NATIONAL level reporters and insiders who have a lot to lose would just piggy back a report from an local radio station host without doing their research with their own sources.

You agreed with that first post, saying that he killed it today. Then when Gambo is called into question you said that nobody claimed that. Then for some reason hsandhu quoted your above post about "Nobody said he's broken trades" and agreed with that, even though he said he broke trades in the first post.

Gambo did ok, but I think he's benefitted greatly from Coro being removed from Suns coverage. Coro always had the best insight and would disprove whatever Gambo was saying when he got too much in his own world. Now that Haller has taken over though, Gambo probably has the best contacts in the organization and isn't afraid to float various scenarios that come into his head.

Ok. You are the one making unsubstantiated accusations now. I was listening to him on the radio he would make tweets and calls in the course of the conversation. He is an annoying personality but he has contacts and he reports in information he gets directly from the teams. He has proved it.

Remember Ainge and most of his front office where here with the Sun's for years. That is Gambo's insider and I am happy they took Tatum!!

What's unsubstantiated? Gambo hears something and reports it. Others pick up on it and amplify the report. It turns out that the report was either wrong or exaggerated. How is that a scoop? He's a gossip columnist. It's his job to make noise and to get people to listen to it. It's not his job to be right.
