Word is that Pryor will enter the supp.draft. Of course it's not official and there really isn't anything else to talk about, so if you're the Cards when would you select him, if at all, in the draft. He'll likely go in round 4 or later. I would use a 5th on him for sure, possibly a 4th. The guy could develope into something and there's no questioning his athletic ability. At the least he could be used a wildcat-type option. At best, he could become a Randall Cunningham type. He's supposedly a hard-worker and with the current QB situation, the Cards shold take a flyer on him.

I know back when he was a freshman, while in St.Louis, I stayed at the same hotel as the Cards. I got talking to a couple Cards execs at the hotel bar and they raved about him. He has improved his passing every year but it still needs alot of improvement. If Cam Newton went #1, Pryor is definitely worth a look at some point.

I wouldn't waste any of our draft picks on him

I would think about using a later pick on him. 4th would be good, but I think I'm more interested in LT Adams if he comes out in the supplemental draft.

+1. Adams is the #2 rated OT in next year's draft, I would use a 3rd rounder on him.

I'm kind of surprised by the responses. I think he compares very favorably to Vince Young, great athlete that can't pass all that well, and he was a top 10 pick. You guys wouldn't have wanted Young in round 4, or even later . I know Young has turned out to be a head case but he has shown he can win in the NFL.

I think Vince Young was much more accurate the Pryor.
I've heard most teams would only be interested in him as a WR or TE.
He could probably do the wildcat thing but I'm not sure what value that has for the Cards.
If we're picking him as a QB I'd spend a 7th on him.

There have been a few comments about Pryor by the gurus on NFL Net, SIRIUS and ESPN. They all seemed to agree that, had he been in this year's draft, he'd be rated about 7th (just behind Dalton).

From the limited amount of times I've seen him - when Ohio State was on TV - my impression "in the absolute" was that he was pretty athletic, ran the offense pretty well, had a "live" arm and was good enough to win at crunch time and lead his team to more wins than losses.

For obvious reasons, there hadn't been the kind of intense scouting analysis of his strengths, weaknesses, throwing motion, release-points and all that nit-picky stuff that go into draft-ratings.

The off-the-field hanky-panky is a different story - not totally because of the infractions themselves but because they red-flag a young man's attitude. When athletes accept cars and other perqs as "business as usual", you get the feeling they have a sense of entitlement (i.e. that they automatically have the right to be a star QB - without earning it).

That would make me nervous - Leinart seemed to have that problem, and I doubt the Cardinals would be looking forward to repeating that mistake so soon after they cut him.

So (without knowing how the Cardinal FO truly feels about Pryor) my guess from afar would be that we'd probably pass on him.

Well, since that list of negatives that I posted, which isn't even exaggerating a bit, is a list of his negatives in COLLEGE, I think he would be far worse in the NFL. Cbus, Pryor isn't anywhere near the college QB Vince Young was, IMO. Not even close.

Before the scandal, I'd of used a 5th and try him at WR. Now I wouldn't draft him. The guy basically brought down his whole organization with him. What's to say he won't bring others down with him wherever he plays in the NFL?

I don't know about not even close. Looks like they were about the same passers, Young the better runner

Pryor is the poor mans Cam Newton

all the same uncertainties

great athletic ability but not Newton's arm strength

At some point in the draft, I would think he is worth a flyer -- but when?

I'm in agreement with Cbus. I see him as almost a clone of Vince Young. He's super athletic, very elusive & has a strong arm that just hasn't been harnessed properly. We're not talking about a top 5 pick, we're talking about a 4th or 5th round supplemental draft pick! He would be a great value pick there. Keep in mind that OSU's offensive style actually stymied this kid. I'll go so far as to say that he'll be a much better NFL player than VY or Cam Newton will be. He has a much stronger work ethic than either of the other guys.

cbus where were you when I was politicking to use a pick on Pryor prior to the draft. I would throw a 4th + on him in a NY minute.

I'd spend a 2nd on Adams rather than a 3rd on Pryor every single time.

As we know, the organization frowns upon off-the-field conduct like Pryors' issues. I would find it hard to believe the Cards even throw a draft pick in there.

For me, I'd take a flier with a 5th rounder on him. I'm not in love with the guy, but he has potential and can be a bargain. Worst case scenario, we lose a 5th rounder who has 2nd or 3rd round talent next season IMO.

Nonetheless, if he enters the supplemental draft, he will be picked up for sure.

Driving a borrowed car to a meeting on a suspended license, even after $hit hit the fan where every beat reporter was eying every move he made shows either unfathomable arrogance or that he is a complete idiot. Neither a very impressive reflection on him. I would draft him right around the same place I would draft the Pakistani Intelligence Agency.

a 350z no less. I'm not saying the guy is not an ass but I'd still take a chance on his ability in round 4 or 5.

Just announced that he is skipping his senior season.

Beleaguered Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor has played his last game for the Buckeyes, his attorney told Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch.

"In the best interest of my teammates, I have made the decision to forego my senior year of football at The Ohio State University," Pryor said in a prepared statement read by his attorney, Larry James.

If he's there in round 5, which I doubt, the Cards better take him. Heck, they took a one-dimensional blocking FB/ST in round 5 this year. I think someone will get antsy and grab him in round 3, maybe Oakland. The guy had some issues taking money/selling stuff but he's never been in legal or drug trouble. It's not like all these guys are choir boys entering the NFL. The 2 main question marks with Pryor are his throwing ability and leadership ability. Young, Tebow, and Kaepenick show teams will take a QB with questionable throwing skills with the hope they can be coached up. The leadeship thing is his issue. He's a hard worker but kind of did things on his own schedule and put himself before the team. I'm sure alot of college stars do that though. Teams that I think will show interest in him:

OAK- they take chances on talented players.
ARI- probably not a Whiz-type player but he looked at Newton.
NO- He could go there and learn from one of the best in Brees.
PITT- hometown kid, Charlie Batch was active in his HS recruitment and they need a project to develop for Ben insurance.
MIA-they have Henne
IND-same as NO and Polian likes big 10 players.
BUF-they signed TO so who knows.
CIN-Mike Brown loves OSU and they have a track record of taking guys with chraracter issues.
SD-who backs up Rivers?
I would say Minny but Rick Spielman is the GM and Chris's brother and Chris can't stand Pryor.
