i actually think that's a great idea. personally, i think the position only matters on the defensive end as that's where we might get taken advantage of.

I guess I just assumed that this is what we were talking about. Offensively it really doesn't matter much.

If the Suns can get a serviceable backup center/power forward who can contribute 10-15 minutes per game we will probably see less than 10 minutes of small ball per game. If not, or if there is an injury to a big man I'm sure we will see more.

I still think that Joe Johnson is a better option at PF than Marion (or Q, for that matter). He's the biggest of the three and the most durable, and at least the other wing players can play the positions they're comfortable in.

I would rather see Zarko or Jackson Vroman at PF, though--IMO the team would be better off in the long run if they have the discipline to play their swingmen short minutes this year, instead of going tiny at every opportunity.
