On Gambo and Ash show: (short interview)

Q says they will give Fitz hell all week for getting run down on the 3 yard line from behind.

He says they expected to win the last 2 games, looking forward to next game. Want revenge against Washington.

Says nothing has changed between him and the team (in terms of contract negotiations), but he will not allow that to affect his play on the field.

He gave props to Edge for getting 15,000 yards.

On the first catch:
Q says we did a good job souting the match-ups on 1st and 2nd down and we planned on exploiting any LB on Q match-ups

On Fitz's almost TD:
Fitz is gonna hear about it all week. He's never gonna live it down.

Are we the best O in the NFL:
We think we can be. We're headed in the right direction. Props to O line. Right people in skill positions. Props to Edge and Timmy. And one of the better QBs in the league. But must stay aggressive.

About KW and Winning now...when the decision was made:
Process worked itself out. Wanted best players on the field. Let's keep him healthy and see how far we can go.

Offseason stuff.....:
Will never change how he prepares regardless of what happens off the field.

Positives about the situation?
No comments with the office at all. None, since this camp. Not worried about it, he'll continue to play as he did today. Laughing about Dieon saying to "pay the man"

How do you guys look past 2-0 and prepare for tough teams?
Winning doesn't come easy. Thankful for any win. Expected to start fast, but know the road games are coming up and will be statement games. Will tell us alot about ourselves.

Defense intensity?
Stingy defense. Making us work harder cause we like what they do and want to reward them and keep them fresh.

On Edge's 15k yards
A testament to his skills and being an elite back. Hats off to him.

Congrats on the start:
Thanks for having me on.

Cosing:
Contracts talks put aside and he is producing.

The interview seemed to be much more light hearted and relaxed than interviews as of late, imo.
-He wasn't suprised by domination of the Dolphins.
-The team is still and will continue to give Fitz crap for getting caught from behind.
-The offense is still a work in progress, but can be the best in the NFL.
-Said that there still aren't any contract conversations.
-Kept the line that he's here to play football and everything else is secondary right now.
-Laughed when Gambo told him about Deion Sanders yelling "Pay the man" everytime they showed one of his highlights.

That's all I got as someone walked in my office. Nothing spectacular, but like I said, he seemed much more laid back and in a better mood.

AW was on 910 this morning. They were discussing how AW wanted to go in on offense to block. How cool is that?

Anyway, back to the point...they also said that after that happened, Q joked about going in to play defense at safety. LOL.

I read somewhere on here, I think, that he just wants one shot at the QB.

I was happy to hear no inflamatory rhetoric from Q on his contract or the front office.

I consider that progress.

He still cant say with a straight face that he wants to be traded. I still think this whole fiasco was reationary. He will simmer down after a couple of victories and progress, then they will reapproach him either during the 2nd half of the season or in the offseason.

We can all agree that his price tag went up a couple million after yesterday's performance.

Prior to getting run down Fitz made two of the great moves you will ever see to break loose from 2-3 guys. That spin move and juke are not taught. You are born with those. I do not know of anyone that can cover him 1 on 1. Maybe Neon Deion during his day. If Denny Green left us a legacy it is Larry Fitz. I never dreamed he was that good. Just think what he might have been up until now with a strong running game.

I wanted to mention Fitz catching that ball on the short kick off. He must have been 3-4 feet above everyone else and there were 10 guys around him going for the ball. I cannot imagine how he even held on to it. He looked like a giant jumping against little people on that play. Do not understand how that happened. Did every one else forget to jump? Surely he cannot jump that much higher than all those guys going for the ball?

Excellent point...too bad everyone's talking about the end of that run instead of the beginning. Those were some serious moves.

I noticed that. Did you also notice Q blocking on the play? That's the second or third time, Fitz has made a leaping catch on an onside kick.

What I really, really want is another Hail Mary at the end of the half. If it's against Seattle or San Francisco, all the better.

He still doesn't want to be here from the sounds of the interview. Not sure paying the man at this point solves anything, except make us lose players that we won't be able to afford with too much $$$$ to our WR core.

I'd wish all of our players didn't want to be here if they play the way he's played these first couple of games.

The Dolphins fans around me were stunned by this play. They had never seen someone jump so high.

Well actually... I don't remember where I saw it...but on tv they showed some You Tube footage of Q in a locker room leaping over a 61" bar from a standstill. Anyone else see that?

We have two very sick wideouts.
