Qb driven NFL? I think not!

Top QB is a luxury not a necessity in football - this playoffs proves this again. Across the NFL talent landscape the gap between 1 and 32 at any position is slight, and varies by quality of opponent, climate, mood and momentum.

My greatest disappointment with Whiz and BA is that they never balanced up enough when we had Warner and Palmer. When Cards could run, they were great, but mostly they went one dimensional and feast or famine - when they were tooled too be consistent.

Looks great on sports center, but probably cost Palmer a gold jacket, unless he joins nfl network like Kurt. Edge should get a gold jacket with his top 10 all time body of work- maybe they will mention his 2008 playoff performance - not like cards, fans, fitz, Warner cares. CJ too but ain’t mentioned as leading rusher in cards best season ever-

I hope for a paridigm shift with DJ.

I do think our defense could be that good and is close now!! We have arguably the best Corner. Jones might be defensibe player of the year. We had 3 games this year where we win if our QBs dont throw costly INTS. We held Washington to 20 points and gave them the ball a few times. We shut out the Giants. The Dallas game was a few plays away from us easily winning. 2 penalties cost us TDs and 2 turnovers. The 1 bad game we played was against Houston. But with a backup RB and backup QB we were 2 close games from 10-6. Defense is top 6 in my opinion and not far away with another legit Pass Rusher and good LB

Let's look at the winning teams from this weekend:

Philadelphia Eagles-Game won by the defense being able to shut down Ryan and Jones
New England-Game won by their QB and defense. No real running threat to speak of.
Minnesota-Game won by QB and receivers
Jacksonville-RB had a majority of the yards

So 1 game might be attributed to a RB of the 4. This isn't 1960 anymore and this isn't a running back league.

i agree that we gave up on the run far too early far too often but do you really think that anyone of these teams will beat Brady? I hope so, but highly doubt it.

Patriots had 100 yards rushing - Lewis 62 on 15 carries - backs caught 13 passes - Lewis did the job of keeping offense balanced enough for Brady’s 53 pass attempts - 35 completions - still say that’s too many passes - I see 18 incomplete plays for zero yards with higher risk of int or negative yards- bet the jags make them pay more - m

Move the goal post? Every body that knows anything about football says run game is key- except card fans and our stupid media. Edge and CJ not mentioned in our success is just ignorant.
