I don't dislike it, per se. If a QB can make the right reads and be accurate, I think they can be VERY effective in the NFL without having a Jeff George Rocket Arm (R).

People act like whenever someone questions a player's arm strength, that he's criticizing them for not being JaMarcus Russell.

No, Max Hall (or Chad Pennington) doesn't have to have Daunte Culpepper's arm to succeed in the NFL. No one is saying that, but you have to have an NFL caliber arm to succeed in the NFL. When Pennington just entered the league, he pretty much had the bare minimum arm strength necessary to play. What set him apart was his ability to make reads and deliver the ball to a place where the WR could catch and run. In this way, he was like Kurt Warner, although Pennington was never surrounded by the supporting cast that Warner was.

But Max Hall's arm makes Chad Pennington look like Daunte Culpepper. Jeff Garcia thinks that Max Hall has a noodle arm.

I'm not sure how anyone who saw Max Hall play can still think that he has the ability to do anything in the NFL, include be the #3 quarterback.

he's got MOXIE! seriously... max hall shouldn't be on any nfl roster... tiny, bad arm, small hands... man, what an epically bad call on the qb position this year.

You might be right, but I don't want Cardinals to get another noodle arm QB who can make all the throws.

Noodle arms are fine. Inaccurate noodle arms are tragic.

Pennington's career is over.

His arm strength is more like Max Hall's.

Listen, I LOVE Pennington, but he is injury prone big time, and I can't imagine how he'd fare behind this OL.

Agree....one day he is going to be a very good OC for someone...an excellent student of the game....just as you mentioned far too injury prone.

I'm a big fan of Pennington. We should trade to get him. One of the smartest and most accurate QB's in modern day NFL.

He could start day one while we develop our 1st/2nd round draftpick and Skelton could be number 3.

If he can stay healthy, he could get success couple of years for this footballteam.

Injuries are major concern, but you never know with this. You could get Brady and he could go out for the season. And you could get Chad or Kurt Warner and they could play for two years. You never really know with injuries.

If he is heathy at the point where you sign a player, much of it is also pure chance wheter a player will stay healthy or not. He can get sacked 40 times and still not be on IR. He can be protected well and one sack can send him to IR.

You just go for the best footballplayer. That's it.
