I don't dislike it, per se. If a QB can make the right reads and be accurate, I think they can be VERY effective in the NFL without having a Jeff George Rocket Arm (R).
People act like whenever someone questions a player's arm strength, that he's criticizing them for not being JaMarcus Russell.
No, Max Hall (or Chad Pennington) doesn't have to have Daunte Culpepper's arm to succeed in the NFL. No one is saying that, but you have to have an NFL caliber arm to succeed in the NFL. When Pennington just entered the league, he pretty much had the bare minimum arm strength necessary to play. What set him apart was his ability to make reads and deliver the ball to a place where the WR could catch and run. In this way, he was like Kurt Warner, although Pennington was never surrounded by the supporting cast that Warner was.
But Max Hall's arm makes Chad Pennington look like Daunte Culpepper. Jeff Garcia thinks that Max Hall has a noodle arm.
I'm not sure how anyone who saw Max Hall play can still think that he has the ability to do anything in the NFL, include be the #3 quarterback.
