And which DE would that be? The one currently occupied by up and coming Dennis Johnson or the position currently held by this year's FIRST round draft pick Calvin Pace?

All good teams rotate their front four. We can easily sign a DE and still have playing time for Johnson and Pace.

I hate to say it (when do I ever hate to say ANYTHING), but the Couch scenario is the best. For anyone holding out hope that McCown will play well the rest of the way, I think that will be put to rest this Sunday. Carolina will absolutely PULVERIZE him. I've watched two of their games since I've been home, and from what I'm hearing being said on this board and from the Cards last couple of games, this will get ugly real quick. Kris Jenkins is a total stud (DT), so are Rucker and Peppers. Buckner is no slouch either. Carolina doesn't blitz a whole lot because they don't have to, they have arguably the best front four in football this year.

I think management couldn't have picked a worse game to evaluate McCown and they may see all they need to see come halftime.

But that's just me talking......

Then again Quan may have a huge day, Carolina's secondary sucks.

Why does it have to be a "fascination?" He's a decent, fairly young QB that could be a starter--check that--will be a starter in this league for years to come. He may not ever be the superstar people thought he might be coming out of school (hey, a blue-chip QB prospect not living up to excpectations? Nah, it could never happen...not to the Cardinals at least--Eli's 'can't miss'!), but he IS starting material.

What the hell is the facination with Tim Couch?

For starters:

1) He goes through progressions

2) He can make every throw

3) He is actually pretty good (remember he has been on a Browns team that has never really had a running game so he has been forced to pass ALOT which muddies his stats)

4) He may be fairly inexpensive (compared to a McNabb or Brady)

5) He is young

6) He is better than what we have with a better upside

Just my opinion....

Maybe a situational pass rusher?

Apparently I missed something as well...

-the same Tim Couch that was a high first round pick and never produced in a system that fits him?

-the same Tim Couch who hasn't been able to hold onto his position, even when given to him each and every year?

-the same Thomas Jones who seems to get injured right when he starts to possibly turn the corner?

(sorry couldn't resist)

Never produced?????? And with who at running back?? And with what offensive line??? I truly believe he is in a situation where the head coach just doesn't like him (See Bob Brenly and Erubiel Durazo)

This is the only year that the job was taken from him going into the year, and look who they've turned to now. His situation is not the same as Thomas Jones'

I'm NOT saying he's the be all and end all, but I would be delighted to see him in a Cardinal Uni next year

Mark Brunell is 1,867 years old.

He may in fact be a Card next year because he used to baby-sit Bidwill

In Anna I trust
Draft a new QB. Get one that knows how to run around, has a cannon for an arm and is tough.

BRADLIE VAN PELT

What the hell, you'll get him Cheap and if he doesn't work out he would make a great saftey!

2682 Yards Passing 18 TD

1050 yards rushing 9 TDs 5.3 Average Compared to Shipps 3.8 ave

If we draft a QB I think we should snag one in the third round.

Luke McCown out of La. Tech. sounds good.

I hear he has a cannon for an arm. :D
