I know this has been discusses (and there's an article about it in today's paper) but I think the most telling sign that Quentin will be called up is that last night they started him at CF and moved Hairston over to left. I can't see any other reason as to why they'd move him to CF unless it was that they're hoping to move him up to play that position.

They have been playing him in center for 3 weeks. They want to see if he is capable of it and I dont feel that its a sign of him getting a call up because hes not ready in CF.

Carlos has been on a tear lately. He hit another home run last night, as well as the night before.

Carlos' bat is still hot. He hit his 19th home run and drove in four runs last night as the Sisewinders won their fifth game in a row. The Diamondbacks definitely could use Carlos' power.

besides, can he really be worse that Cruz Jr. in center field? I say 'no way'. Why is this guy still starting? Terrerro is FAR better in the field, at least he has the speed to make up for some of his mistakes.

As for bringing up Carlos to play CF, does anyone REALLY believe he'll be better than Terrerro right now? I mean, Terrerro isn't the greatest at the plate, but he is still batting .298 as of this morning. Only 86 at bats, but he's making lots of contact. Will Quentin be able to do that in the 2nd half of this season, being his first stint in the bigs? I have major doubts.

Carlos can't do any worse than Terrero or Cruz. Terrero's problem is plate discipline. The guy strikes out too many times. I say give Quentin a shot. The guy can hit, and hit for power.

hate to say this, but we don't NEED a guy to hit for power. we just need a guy to freeking hit. this offensive slump is baffling. We should be so much better than we are.

I blame Jose Cruz Jr. :D

Carlos is a better hitter than both Cruz and Terrero.
