Isn't E. Smith considered a much better blocking back than Shipp? And who has the better hands (i.e pass receiving out of the backfield)?? If the answers to these two questions is Smith; then that may be why Denny feels Smith would be the better starter.

I will conceed that Smith is the better blocker. But I dont really think I would be willing to say Smith has better hands. Shipp catches just about anything thrown at him.

And I can see the point with a 3 wide out set. But when it actually comes to running the ball, I think Shipp is the best ball runner we have on the team.

IN some ways it's like admitting we're going to get sacked a lot and we better get the best blocker we can in there.

I swear a month ago Green was talking about wanting to run the ball alot. Josh was openly saying it was that all a smokescreen, is this a smokescreen?

He keeps it entertaining.

Why go with a power running attack when you have three stud recievers and a great pass catching tight end? You put your best players on the field, and tailor your offense around your strengths. It's like having a sports car and never taking it over 75.....in that situation, what's the point? (sorry, best analogy that came to mind....)

Man I really hope it is a smokescreen! This has me pretty bummed out.

Why??? Have faith. we had a bum coahing staff with a track record of a nag.

Now we have a proven coach with a track record of a winner.

Darren Urban, of the East Valley Tribune, reports Arizona Cardinals head coach Dennis Green said the main reason he wants RB Emmitt Smith as the team's starting tailback is because Smith is a better fit in the team's three-receiver formation on offense. Smith, according to Green, has the ability to find seams and that works well if a defense overloads with DBs to cover the team's trio of receivers.
