I've been eyeing Booker's satchel. Men need a place to carry things too. My pants weigh a ton with everything I put in them.

Yes. Except that his money does not actually kick in then.
Regardless, once the contract is signed it is now guaranteed money. Meaning he can afford to be a little less conservative with the money he has.

Either way that wasn’t the point of the comment to begin with. The point is that he is suggesting that Booker will be getting a new contract.

If Marquese is retained, and I'm 50/50 on whether he should be, maybe the light comes on for him playing next to a real Center like Ayton. I remember Stoudemire back in the day becoming a beast when we added Shaq. That season with Shaq made Amare look like the pre-microfracture days. He was never shy about not wanting to play Center full time but he did well as our small ball Center. Playing him with Shaq though made him stand out as a true PF that should be kept at the position rather than moved back to C. I know Chriss hasn't played much Center but he has played next to some limited Centers like AARP Chandler and stonehands Len. Chriss has the tools that he could reach Stoudemire's level, that's his ceiling, but it's unlikely he ever reaches that with his attitude. It'd be nice to see some real progress though.

I do not know why we should not retain him. We have a new coach. He has still shown potential. He is not worth much in trade value. Keep him.

He doesn’t have the vicious strength amare had. And I don’t mean like bench pressing strength. It’s something else in the NBA. It is going up and being able to flush it down among the trees. Chriss might have similar leaping ability, but he’s missing something in terms of being a physical force. It’s difficult to actually define buts it’s obvious to the eye.

It's all in his attitude, which was quite poor the majority of last season. I think it was Gambo who said that it was unlikely Chriss would be retained through the offseason. He doesn't have much trade value, probably enough to get a late 1st round pick from a title contender but that's at best. I hope they're keeping up with him throughout the offseason to make sure he doesn't balloon like he did last year. I don't see him playing for the Summer League team but he could help repair his reputation with the team by volunteering to play then if we draft Ayton so he can get off on the right path with him ASAP. I like Bender at PF more than Chriss but that isn't based on his play as much as his attitude. I don't want to see Chriss regress again this summer.

I've still never seen anyone airball a dunk like that in my life. Beyond impressive to follow that up by body checking a smaller guy to the ground after.

All that said... there's no reason to move that guy yet.

Although Chriss missed that dunk the video gives a vision of what he can do if his game comes together. Maturity is the key for Chriss. I think he showed signs of it coming together last season.
