I think he could play 3-4 backer. The reasoning is that he is James Harrison like.

It's not as crazy as it sounds.

It sound crazy all right. Dude got 20 sacks from the DT position and is without question the best DT in the league.

He might be an average OLB. Sure he may be able to do it but why?

You think he'd be average?

I think he'd be good at any front seven position.

I like Q but is he better suited for a 4 - 3 defense as a DT than a NT or DE in the Cards 3 - 4?? Note that are going back to a 3 - 4 defense. I don't think he is big enough to be a Nose tackle and I'm not sure about him as a defensive end.
Totally agree

They said the same thing about Aaron Donald when Wade Phillips came in but his best season ever was this year in "3-4".

Nearly a couple a tenths slower than Donald with 15 more pounds on him and he's longer. Draft the damn kid already!

That’s not true at all.

There’s no way that he’s better than Kuechley was coming out of BC. Devin White is all athleticism without the intangibles needed to be a great MLB.

Kuechley was an All-American linebacker all 3 years in college.

Totally agree with you.

I just wasted part of my life going back to every DT taken in the top 10 for the last 20 years. Aaron Donald and Suh are the only ones that are comparable (college tape) to Q Williams. Leonard Williams was considered a physical freak but Q shows better on tape, at the combine, and in the stat sheet.

I think if Keim has his way Q will be the pick.

How do you know about White's intangibles?

IF the Cards trade back, White is the guy I'd like to see them get.

Nice breakdown of Q's skills on plays that don't show up on the stat sheet:

Quinnen Williams has the potential to be the best player in this draft. He would not be a bad pick at all and probably fills a greater need.

Bosa is the safest by far.

Yeah I’m wondering if the Cards are honing in on Williams. Amidst the flurry of FA signings, none of whom are D-linemen.

I was wondering the same thing. There isn't a lot of DL depth currently on the roster.

2019 NFL Draft prospect: Quinnen Williams | PFF

1) Best defensive line prospect they have ever graded (last 5 years)
2) Quickest NT he has ever seen in college football
3) Balance and flexibility is rare for DL (any level)
4) Strength and power (special)
5) Hand usage refined and truly differentiates him from any other player in draft

If the Cardinals dont go Murray, Q William's is my guy. I think with the number one pick you have to marry production vs measurables. While I like Bosa too, William's is a better fit and a better athlete for his size.

IMNSHO he is not eye candy. Reminds me more of Vince Wilfork type who will balloon up with age. If he is Vince Wilfork II, grab his fat ass.
