Last night as I was watching the game again, I played closer attention to Quintin Demps Cheapshot on Kurt Warner. Man that hit was like 5 seconds after Warner released the ball. That is a way to really hurt a player. He should be fined, probably won't happen, but he should be.

He has to live with the fact that he fell down, like a clown, on the Fitz TD. And, that Hightower blew him up on the game-winning TD. He was the one that got bowled over at the 2.

But, you are right, as pathetic as those plays were, the penalty on Warner was the worst play of all. It was just crazy stupid.

that was one of those plays where I would love to know exactly what he was thinking --

yeah I was surprised they didn't make more of it during the game because it was clearly an intent by the Eagles to shake up Warner if not injure him, it wasn't like he thought Kurt was going to throw a block or something the ball was gone and Kurt was nowhere near the play. I suspect Demps will be fined.

Did it right in front of the official, too. It led to 3 points for the Cardinals. He's damn lucky that he wasn't ejected. I hope it was just a rookie mistake, and he will learn from the experience.

Jerkyface Michael Strahan said "Oh, he probably just thought that the Eagles had a better chance if Leinart was playing. Whatever it takes."

Jimmy Johnson nodded in agreement.

Disgusting.

Disgusting.

I just wanted to ***** slap Strahan and ask him what his mama would think about a comment like that. A lot of people did not want us to win this game, but we got the last laugh.

Clearly intent to injure. He should have been tossed from the game.
I agree... I have no idea how he wasn't ejected for that. Clearly a total cheap shot and he did it right in front of a referee... I still can't figure out why he was not ejected I mean the ball was already gone and Warner was just standing there watching and Demps comes into the picture and just levels him it's not like it was just a roughing the passer penalty a couple seconds after the throw the ball was out of his hands for a good 5 seconds.

What woulf they ahve done if it knocked Warner out of the game?

The idiot should have been ejected. If Warner had been hurt I think the refs would have lost control of this game. It would have gotten VERY ugly.

If he doesn't draw a fine of some kind, they might as well not have a league office. That was about as blatant a late hit as you have. Only question is how much, not if, IMO.

The fine should be stiff & levied before the SB so as to send a message that that won't be tolerated. Otherwise, Strahan's stupid mentality might just rule the day if it's close.

I don't see what the hold up is? What could the league possibly be waiting for?

I think it's Thursday that they usually annouce fines? Dunno if they do it any differently in the playoffs.

Given what Demps looked like in coverage, I'm glad they didn't eject him. But I agree that they should have. That was not really different than a punch, except a lot more likely to cause injury.

The kid is not too bright. Just before the opening kickoff the idiot was waving his arms up and down trying to get the crowd to make more noise. He should have been ejected for the late hit.

Adrian Wilson would have been kicked out of the NFL if he did that. If Wilson's clean hit on Edwards that wasn't even ruled a foul on the field could draw a 50k fine(forget the actual amount but pretty sure it was over the normal 15k) then Demps should be missing some games next season.
